My TYD has moved from 6/10 to 6/3 for Dealer Arrival!

100% what I am doing too!

I got a pre-approval from FirstTech CU at 2.65%. I’ve already traded-in my old car, plus paid the dealer 10k$ deposit. I’ll get an auto-loan for the balance.

TYD now has updated to say "Entry Port" for me -- next step is "Port Processing".

There’s a long journey between a prototype to production. Curious to see how many of these estimated figures change or what the final product looks like!

I got one production photo (I was the one discovered it/first to post). Others seem to have gotten 3-4!

Ouch! Do you know what are they for? I got a quote for a auto-loan yesterday for 2.65% — I thought it was a great rate, until I heard the 1.25% :P

I just hope that the cars aren’t missing parts and we are stuck for weeks! ?

Mine had an estimated port arrival 6/3 but the vessel docked yesterday (5/27), so a week early. TYD obviously only has dates on Fridays, so they do bake some buffer in those dates!

Grand Champion has docked at Benicia! The sea journey ends for me, hopefully everything else now progresses as smoothly. Incidentally, TYD updated today and moved up my delivery date by a week! (6/17 now vs 6/23 before).

They know at manufacturing, and they don’t want to delay shipping (otherwise cars pile up at factory). Hence, slap a stop sale on it and the dealer or port-processing fixes it/adds the missing part.

I thought that recall was a firmware update! I hope you don’t get stuck!

Grand Champion is on its way to San Diego — ETA 5/24! Getting closer! Now fingers-crossed no lengthy port inspections, stop-sales, etc.
