The biggest change, from a performance perspective at least, is that the Turbo S will now accelerate from 0-124mph in 9.6 seconds. That’s 0.2 seconds faster than before. It’ll also cover a quarter-mile sprint in 10.7 seconds instead of 10.8 seconds.
I did the NC500 early in September in my 911. I struggled to find premium fuel let alone suitable charging points.
Good luck though & don’t forget the detailed trip report ;-)
I got told the same thing.
10% rise next year on top of the potential 10% Brexit duty in 2021.
Like I said on another post. It’ll be expensive to buy a Porsche in Britain next year.
In my 911 whenever I plug my iPhone into the usb socket it enables carplay (you can turn CarPlay off & have the option to use the phone as just an iPod).
The trouble I think you’ll have is all the phone calls and text messages go through CarPlay. If I press the phone button on the car dashboard...
I now have a CP8 date of the 4th of December. Touch & go if it’ll be here before 2021.
Dealer has agreed to allow me to observe the situation & if I want he will let me cancel with a refund should it incur the 10% duty levy in 2021.
He did say the list price is also going up 10% next year &...
Just had word from the dealer that my car will be completed on the 5th of December and he is hopeful it will now arrive this year.
He casually attached the Brexit letter and told me to sign it immediately. I am sure this forgoes any rights I may have had to cancel without penalty. So I can’t...
i think it’s the fact that I am looking at being JUST the wrong side of the deadline that is so frustrating. The difference being two weeks (or less).
Plus the fact I have had absolutely no communication from the dealer regarding what could potentially happen to the price.
When I spoke...
I’ve just tried to hurry mine up. If it arrives just into 2021 and Brexit goes ahead without a trade deal then the cost will jump an eye watering fifteen grand.
It’s unlikely I can do anything to affect delivery but it’s certainly worth a try.
Long-shot, but on my 911 I don’t have the remote door lock button within the app.
That’s solely down to me not specifying comfort entry (keyless entry).
just a thought.
Thats what I thought, so thanks for the clarification.
You are right, of either of those features, I’d rather have wireless CarPlay than wireless charging.
Are you U.K. based?
I was under the impression that U.K. cars didn’t come with the wireless charging option. Unless it’s been introduced in the the 21MY. I think that’s what the OP was asking for clarification for.
Thanks.
Haven’t got mine yet so can’t comment on the wireless charging bit, but you can plug an iPhone cable into the centre armrest and it will charge. Just needs to be a usb-c to lightening cable. Amazon is full of them and someone posted somewhere in here about a right angled cable that may help your...
I had a similar dilemma & downgraded from Turbo S to Turbo only to be offered an earlier build slot with a Turbo S, so took it.
However, I will point out that there is a mid-range speed difference between the two cars, so it’s not all just on launch control.
Nice dilemma either way though.
His main business is car wrapping and he charges a fortune to a select few. He’s been on mainstream tv in the UK, with cameras following his car wrapping business.
His collection of cars is impressive mind.
I was a bit shocked at some of the comments the sales advisor said too. Like the...
I came back from driving it last week in my 911.
Chargers???
You’ll be lucky to find decent roads. :)
it will take some serious planning and a good slice of luck.
