You can generate the VAL which includes a lot of, perhaps all of settings values. You can also auto-code any ECU(s) which will code them back to settings per your global values set under "Maintenance of Vehicle Data" (if you haven't modified those, it will recode the ECU back to factory values...
You’d think with the number of support suggested solutions starting with "do a factory reset", they'd have a way to save your preferences in the cloud and retrieve them after the reset.
You might just be the first one on this forum who tried to claim this extended warranty. I have a 2023, and even though I received the letter, the extended warranty does not show up in Porsche internal database (as in, if you ask ct14garage per this thread). Perhaps someone forgot to push some...
In the past in the US I did come across a different car insurance option on new car purchases - if the car was totaled within 2 years since purchase, the insurance company paid for a brand new (same model/options) replacement. I haven't seen this offered recently, but then again, I have not...
That is true in the US, in the UK I think they have a different gap insurance - at least from what I've been reading here. IIRC you can even insure your car above the purchase price (and the premium will reflect it).
Not as crazy as it sounds, insurance is just statistical bets by the insurance...
Yep, 12 wheels, 12 tires. Overkill perhaps, but I like to know I have optimum traction for the weather.
I haven't noticed major tread wear issues, though after a road trip with majority on highways doing some spirited driving in Sport+ I can definitely see the inside edges with some extra...
Good point, but is solvable via letting the car know when you want it to charge (since it is the same problem of when you want to your car charging). Tesla solved this long ago, it's not rocket science. If the car is not supposed to charge, it will not use shore power for preconditioning, unless...
When in 1st gear driving at exactly 50mph with rear seats down, I hear a very high pitched whine, at a frequency that not all my passengers can even hear. With rear seats up, it's muffled so I cannot hear it. I don't think Porsche would qualify this as a defect. Any way to diagnose it through...

Running heater from shore power when available (and automatic fallback to battery if unplugged, which is why thins function should not run in the cloud or on the phone) should be code in the car, which phone app triggers via a TurnOnPreconditioning() API.
Nobody thinks of the user experience big picture. I suspect two different teams implemented app pre-heat vs. timer preheat, and without a high level requirements of how things should work, each engineer implemented whatever they thought was best, or perhaps the app preheat implementer didn't...
Taycan tires are different front and back, so presuming they've been mounted correctly. see if there is a ROTATION direction marked on the outside of the tire, and if so, it indicated the direction the wheel is turning when the car is going forward. I have winter, all-season, and summer wheels...
"We'll sell less cars and make more money" - nice dream to sell to potential investors. It works on some retail investors (remember GameStop stock?). It has an additional bonus which allows them to spin lower sales volumes as a successful execution on the above dream - "we're half way there on...
In the past year, we had Inflation (~2.3% in Germany, 2.7% in US), devaluation of US dollar (USD and Euro was near 1:1 parity a year ago, today you get 0.85 euro for each USD, so prices should go up 17% just to keep up with dollar-euro exchange), then there are tariffs which got added in the...
