That's exactly what happened - I saw I needed a blue commando which seemed to be an option and it didn't state you got the 32a as std. I didn't know then that blue could be 16a or 32a and that they werent compatible. Well they never told me either! Ho hum.
I have a Hypervolt but had it put on a commando in case it's failure or loss of Internet meant I couldn't charge. I also specced the "same" blue commando plug for the Porsche supplied basic charge to ensure I could connect it instead as a fallback.
I now know better on both counts. And they...
Guys I'm confused on this at the moment. The car came with a 3-pin blue commando socket but it is small and only rated at 16 amps. I thought it would connect to my 32amp larger commando socket. Did I order the wrong one? It is too small to connect into my blue socket.
100% agree - the Bose in the Macan was so poor in lower mids and bass that I fitted a different subwoofer at some cost. I thought I'd have to then fit this in the Taycan too but as space is at a premium I likely will not bother as the Bose is adequate - if nothing you really go 'wow' about. The...
They did the Boot Buddy based on my car - I'm rarely a worlds first! ;) Works very well.
However I'm very unhappy with the Porsche mesh net 'dog guard' as it really restricts rear vision so am having a dog guard and 2 boot dividers for 2 dogs (and ideally 10cm left for bags!!!) made. Can...
Had mine a week now and wont be installing my proper 10" 300w RMS active sub that I removed from my Macan. So the Bose system doesn't disgrace its designers and the brand in the Taycan and is quite adequate with its better controlled lower mids (still lo fi compared to the B&O in my Rapide -...
The Bose in my Macan was good but destroyed by its subwoofer being a 6" wooly thing in a plastic box that was driven by over EQ'd bass - awful lower end. I changed it for an active one and it was good. Under £1k. Save £4k and spend 1 - sound deaden the doors in a Taycan too.
Is it the same...
So, like, really almost very little over a 4S that has 490PS and 570PS in a mode that so doesn't interest me - traffic light GP - please!
GTS is a cracker though and a great addition for choice - do we have UK prices over a 4S as I love these value games!?
Ohh goodness. I would be so deflated, disappointed and frustrated. Same story here - chase chase 'can you get back to me' follow ups. Not how i run my business frustrating my clients...
This is good to hear as adding £2500 on top of everything else had to give. £1800 for sports seats is a hit enough. Spending thousands on changing a colour is painful! You can spend fast motorbike money on just upgrading the b seats and adding stitching - this has to end!!!!!
I wonder that too :) The Rapide is truly beautiful and a superb handling 203mph car - its quite a well kept secret really! Its also exclusive - less than 1000 in UK. And that V12 - makes the hairs on your arm stand up. But the Taycan is going to disrupt all that as it is a better car in all...
I think its fair enough to shame them for a bad job given the cost of the car - I have used excellent rear cameras in cars costing 20% of the cost of these cars. This part isn't even the rocket science bit of them - doing 100mph at Silverstone and slamming the brakes on PLUS changing lane at the...
I like the 'TFT full dash' second screen look and thought it would be really useful top farm stuff away from bothering the driver. Kids liked using it on a test drive and thought we could use it for Waze nav Speed cams and streamed music etc. You cant. Its useless according to all. So you...
Interesting to see the crazy market in USA too.
I just sold my perfect UK Macan Turbo PP privately for LITERALLY $14,000 more than the UK Porsche dealer bid for it when i placed the Taycan order late May. I knew I could get $9000 more than their bid on that day from several web based dealer...
Its just not fast enough for en-route charging really as we'd be seeking min 50kW DC chargers surely and ideally 150kW+ ones? Is there any benefit to speccing this for road trips to Scotland, going past Gretna etc - maybe even for trips to Continental Europe?
Charging is the key Achilles'...
