Looks good.
Only recommendation is to add the B-Pillars (lower) in race-tex to complete your race-tex interior and add the no-cost smoking package which is basically a removable insert you'd get for one of the cupholders for random storage use or just as a neat cover even if you don't smoke.
according to the configurator, these are the 18-way sport seats which match the design of the rear seats (2+2)
but if you choose the option for 2+1 rear seats (2+2+1) in conjunction with the 18-way sport seats, the configurator renders the design of the rear seats to be the same as those of...
Really? I tried the massage on a 4S I test drove and it felt the same in terms of intensity and coverage as the ones in our Audis. It was good, not great.
and after trying them, what are your thoughts and which seats have you decided on?
My current dilemma right now is if the 18-way’s extra side bolstering is worth giving up massage functionality for. I rarely use massage in our current Audis, so my build is currently on the 18-way sport seats...
frozen blue.
I’m thinking frozen blue over slate grey extended leather with frozen blue interior accents… with the assumption that the GTS standard race-tex roof lining and pillars will also become slate grey.
Thanks for posting that pic. Good match on the slate grey race-tex indeed! Very...
Anyone have Slate grey full leather interior with race-tex roof lining and pillars? With the selection of slate grey leather, does the race-tex fabric on the roof and pillars become slate-grey in color as well?
Still undecided on what interior to get with FBM exterior. Currently have...
Totally agree. In fact, if the Taycan configurator allowed me to keep a racetex interior with a leather steering wheel, I would've done it.
Race-tex/alcantara seems to hold up just fine on seating surfaces, but not so much on the "oh sh1t" handles, per my experience with a current alcantara...
Great advice and helps me with my GTS build too. Interesting comment regarding keeping red brakes for contrast and blue/red being ok. What's everyone's opinion on keeping red calipers for a FBM GTS? Does that still work? Or should go black calipers? I'm on the fence regarding this...
My US-spec GTS build is in the order system with 18-way seats AND ventilation, accepted by my dealer and confirmed with a build sheet. Going back to the online configurator to check, it looks like 18-way sports seats in leather will allow you to add ventilation, but NOT massage+ventilation...
I've seen cars with the ventilation option, and of course they're perforated. But what about cars with 18-way sport seats WITHOUT ventilation, will the seats come non-perforated? Anyone have this care to chime in?
If removing the ventilation option also removes seat leather perforations, I...
Did you mean ride height is low in general compared to other cars that you just breeze over humps with, or do you have experience driving other non-GTS Taycans and feel the GTS rides even lower and has less clearance than other Taycans?
It's not for me either, but I really like the look of coffee beige. A very classy and distinctive off-white shade that reminds me of what white cars look like during sunsets and sunrises. Very nice!
Great write-up. Thanks for sharing!
I think for some people, myself included, the naming of an EV as "Turbo" still doesn't sit right. I fully understand that these names now just refer to a trim level as an effort to keep Porsche's long history of model nomenclature, but I still don't like it. If I were ordering a Turbo or...
It's a given that 21" wheels are lovely and really makes the car, whether Mission E, RS Spyders, or blades.
For this reason alone, I know many of you have thrown caution to wind and went with 21" wheels despite living and driving daily in an urban setting with very bad roads, lots of potholes...
If I was allowed to choose leather steering wheel with the standard GTS racetex interior, I would've done it, as from my experience in the GT3, all the racetex stuff generally holds up well except for the areas on the steering wheel where hands frequently grab, making it matted down and worn...
Precisely why I changed my order from 4S CT to GTS sedan. I feel that especially with a pano roof, the body-colored rear window spoiler not only makes it look less streamlined in profile but also loses continuity between the roof glass and rear window glass. If anything, I would’ve thought a...
Exactly what I'm thinking. Description says it becomes frosted when car is powered-off... but I wonder if there will be an option for it remain unfrosted when off by default since the car has pre-heat/cool anyway? That's a $3k+ chance I'd be taking though because if there's no option to do...
