That should change once it gets on the boat. Ours completed on 10/27, showed enroute to Emden on 10/29, arrived 11/2, and on the Siem Confucius that same day. My original on vessel date was 11/19.
Options can be very personal, so I’m not sure how much guidance you’ll get that will do you much good. One will say yes on one particular option and the very next post will be someone who says no. That said, here’s what I chose.
Black sill guard, not even sure what that is, don’t remember...
I hope you are right, but something doesn’t look right, assuming that website’s position is correct. I took the lat/long to plot and measure her location from Davisville. As of last known position she was roughly 730NM SE of Davisville, near Bermuda. That’s far south of a route you’d expect her...
That was the original port date, my TYD slipped to 11/22 in Jacksonville port. I suspect they lost a day or two maneuvering around TS Wanda and resulting seas slowed her down. The rest of my TYD dates still show 12/10, 12/17 and 12/24. I trust those will update once our car is processed in port.
Does anyone know how to track the Siem Confucius now that she’s out of radio range? Any satellite tracking I’ve found wants a healthy monthly charge to track her position.
Porsche leases are garbage and you’d be best to avoid them, unless you have a tax reason (business tax or lease stipend) to lease a Taycan from PFC. A .0025 money factor is essentially a 6% rate. I was quoted Porsche’s MF of .002 last time I checked with a 52% MRM (10,000 miles/yr), at MSRP...
It’s currently SW of the UK heading SW to steer clear of TS Wanda moving to the NE. It’s due into Davisville 11/13, Jax 11/20. It’s possible it could be slightly delayed deviating around the storm.
What’s funny about the TYD dates, there is another 4S on the boat headed for my dealer, it shows...
My dates finally updated and now show the Siem Confucius arriving in Jacksonville port on 11/20. The map is not showing, so not sure if it’s accurate or still showing the boat in Mexico. My next steps for port processing, to my dealer, and delivery are still showing 12/10, 12/17, and 12/24...
I’m pretty sure the dates in TYD for all the port milestones showing in September are for the previous voyage for the Siem Confucius. Last time it was in Jacksonville was 9/20, the date I am showing for all those port steps. Hopefully it will update eventually, but I’m like you, hoping it comes...
Yeah, the map shows a solid line down in Mexico, with a dashed line back up to its final destination. I’m pretty sure it’s reflecting it’s previous voyage. According to Vessel Finder, it shows it last docked in Jacksonville on 9/20, the date my TYD shows for port arrival on this sailing.
Most likely no. Of course there are exceptional cases with people waiting for weeks/months but I don’t think that is normal. My TYD showed arriving in Emden on the 5th and on a boat 11/26. The car arrived on 11/1, and made the Siem Confucius today, one day after arriving at Emden. If you arrive...
We might be on it. Like many of you TYD is giving me hope we are on it. It shows Arrival at Emden port completed yesterday, 11/1. It hasn’t completed the next milestone, but when I select On Vessel it shows the Siem Confucius. Fingers crossed, hopefully it updates tonight at 11PM like it...
I haven’t seen a Nov schedule posted yet, but as you said, the Siem Confucius is set to leave sometime today. The next vessel to leave for the US is the Siem Cicero, which arrived last night I believe, but I’m not sure of the date of departure or it’s ports of call.
One thing I found out reading posts on Rennlist, the estimated dates are always the Friday of the estimated week until the milestone is reached and then it updates to reflect that actual date, but it doesn’t always force it to move weeks. So it’s not unusual to see similar dates out in the...
Yes, finished production 10/29, arrived in Emden yesterday 11/1. That’s the last completed milestone, but as I said, today it shows the Siem Confucius on the next step (On Vessel). We were really hoping it would make its way on to this vessel, supposedly leaving today. That would put our vehicle...
TYD hasn’t shown the on vessel step completed yet, but for the first time it shows a vessel name. As of now it shows the Siem Confucius. We will be super stoked if it actually made it on that ship leaving today. Assuming so, I have to believe we’d end up getting the vehicle much sooner than the...
It’s pretty amazing the level of uninformed and revisionist history going on this thread. I think everyone needs to do a little research more than what some pundit tells you in an echo chamber, before they start laying blame on one side vs the other. And that goes for both sides.
One thing is...
