Your 12V battery is fine. It has internal battery management and shuts down if the charge is too low.
The dealer sold you something you didn't need. All you need to do is "jumpstart" the car. Pop the frunk and attach some jumper cables to the 12V posts. Turn the car on and it will proceed...
Interesting. Says it has something to do with on-board charger. The charger must be telling the computer that the charging cable has been plugged in so the computer takes the car out of gear since you can't put the car in gear if the charging cable is inserted.
Finally got my car back after 3.5 days in the shop doing the recalls. Said they had to replace a couple pressure sensors associated with the A/C but I think it was actually for the battery cooling system.
My 2021 has been in the shop for two days now getting all the recalls done. They just called and said that it needs a new pressure sensor as part of one of the recalls and it won't be done until tomorrow.
Apparently there's an issue where a pressure sensor malfunctions which allows the...
My guess is that there are sensors that detect when the brakes get wet and deactivate regeneration temporarily so that when you brake the mechanical brakes will be used and dry the brakes.
So now the regen is deactivated and you're relying on wet, mechanical brakes which don't work well...
Welp, add me to the dead 12V club. Went to use the car yesterday and it was dead. Fortunately my jumper cables were just long enough to reach from my other car and I was able to wake it up.
Myporsche just shows two recalls but I got the email.
I called my dealer to schedule service and they told me there are five (!!!) outstanding recalls on my car.
I think Porsche is being a little coy about how many problems there actually are with these cars.
The supplied charger is extremely sensitive to ground faults (which aren't really ground faults). Mine does this if I open or close the garage door while charging or turn on the landscaping lights, both of which are on the same circuit.
At my vacation home I have a Chargepoint and never have a...
I believe the manual recommends this. Personally I use 80%. I'm never in a situation where I need that extra 5% so I'd rather prolong my battery as much as possible.
Only took 3800 miles before the car considered the brakes "bedded enough". Granted I do a lot of highway driving and we live in a rural area so I'm not using the brakes much but it still seems like a lot.
My electron mileage is considerably higher now. I was getting around 2.8 mi/kWh before...
