I will try it again. I've been using Spotify through Android Auto which works OK, but only if I'm driving the car.
I had it at the dealer on Friday at their request - after much head scratching they conceded it was not user error. Fingers crossed....
Same here - Was wondering if there was some sort of geo related issue (Australia) but looks like the issue is WW. The car did have to go back twice to the dealer for the uPdate (Android Auto was missing after first visit), but car Spotify stubbornly throws the 3011 fault code: Linked in app...
Update: Car back from dealer and now has Android auto, but Spotify is still not logging in with the same 3011 "try again" fault code. The second attempt wiped all my account settings, charging profiles again. So a bit annoying.
@OpinionatedOz - I wonder if this is a comms problem for Australian...
Thanks for the heads up @BeauJTaylor . So it looks like the dealer needs to "re-run the level 2 or 3 update"? If that's what fixed it for you I'll contact the dealer directly with this advice and hopefully fast track the support ticket process.
That did the trick - many thanks. Unfortunately, reboot did not make any difference to non-appearance of Android Auto, or Spotify being able to log in.
Exactly what my dealer said...but it's been 10 days now. BTW, even though not on the main screen, Spotify does appear as a music source option. I just can't get the car to log in. Shows the following:
Tried the reboot trick but I can't get it to work. Even found a video @ujjtaycan4s made of the process - no dice. My car is RHD so the screen is reversed - my clock is in the top left corner instead.
I've had mine applied and it looks very slick. However, on my MY21 4S I'm missing Android Auto and Spotify. I might be missing some sort of setup step; but CarPlay is right there on the main screen but no Android Auto or Spotify. Various youtubes for overseas owners show them on the main screen...
Just got my MY21 4S back with the new update but no Android Auto (or Spotify) visible on the main screens. Tried unpairing/pairing again - no change. Phone is Android 12 so should be integrated into the phone. I wonder if there is a Taycan geo lock on these features?
I received one of these while waiting for my 4S, plus a toy RC Taycan car, sports bag, hi tech phone/laptop charger, and a couple of nice paperweights. I placed my order when they were first announced and had a 12+ month wait...But at least they don't forget about you!
Thanks for the tips and good to know it's not just me. Car is going for a seat wiring harness recall shortly - I'll get the shop to fix it. I'm helping educate my local Porsche dealer on how to fix this for other customers :)
I'm having a similar issue, except My Porsche has simply stopped talking to the car full stop - nothing since 15th June. Logging into Porsche Connect via web browser has a similar problem.
Tring to remote lock/unlock throws an error and suggests contacting support.
Meanwhile, car is functioning...
We've had this upgrade email already in Australia (scheduled for 6th April).
I did not see any change in features for my MY21 4S afterwards, but I confess I didn't check versions before/after.
I did have problems with the My Porsche app after the upgrade - I lost Connection Services in the app...
Having exactly the same problem with My Porsche on Pixel 5 /Android 12. So not Apple specific. I followed the car PCM logout/guest login steps which worked for the car. Browser access also shows all connection services but app is still defunct. I've emailed the contact provided in the app. No...
Great report and very interesting read given Europe is supposed to be best set up for charging infrastructure. Here in Australia we are much more backwards so road trips require even more planning. Perhaps for that reason Aussies all received the Porsche Mobile Connect Charger with our cars -...
