My car got updated yesterday, and I've tested charging at SIGNET charger. IT WORKS! The SIGNET charger that I went to is a brand new installation, so we may start seeing more of them.
My experience with the dealer was a little different than has been reported here. My service advisor had...
Nope, once a week they give the hamsters (the little guys make the electricity) time off the wheel. They receive their new instructions during that break.
Nice. I'm getting the update tomorrow. I've read on this thread a warning to wait a week before testing at EA? Did you wait a week? Can you comment on any instructions the dealer gave you, or did they just send you on your way?
You might want to rethink the MagSafe holder. he back side of the MagSafe is for cooling and your design has enclosed that cooling area. I have no idea if this will be a problem.
I had to go back and forth a bit with my service advisor. His first comment was my car was up to date with all service campaigns. I kept referring him to the particular service bulletin, and eventually he agreed to pull it up. Shortly after he came back and agreed it applied to my car...
I just received my mount (printed for me by Shapeways.com). It came out great and fit's perfectly. I elected to mount a MagSafe charger to it. Thanks for the drawings and this incredible idea!
Since we have no real reference number for the update, can you verify what update was applied? Did the service advisor understand the request and apply this "custom" fix? What does the paperwork show from the service? Just curious as I "was" excited about this fix as well.

Approx where are you located in S.Fla? I am also in S.Fla (close to Champion) but I have not tried EA charging since the update. If you let me know which charging sites you have tried I can stop by in the next few days and give it a try.
You just spent a bunch of money on a Taycan. Get it fixed right. Take it off the car, get it repaired. The good news is you should lose nothing on resale value, as the "paint depth" gauges do not work on the car's plastic parts. So as long as your repair shop does an excellent job with the...
Just assign the Joker Key, do the fix, then re-assign the Joker Key back to what you want.
FYI, I was having this problem too, approx weekly. I reset the PCM to the factory settings, then started fresh by logging in again with my ID. That seemed to fix it as I have never experienced the...
