Any one with experience from other Porsche cars know, if it’s a problem having a open wheel like the 21” mission e as a winter setup? We rarely have snow in Denmark - normally just rain and some ice on the roads.
Yes, but the front disc on the 2021 model is supposed to have almost the same diameter as the 2020 model, only loosing 5 mm going from 415 mm to 410 mm. So maybe it’s just the angle of the photo?
Still very disappointing that the calipers are smaller. One advantage of having the 2020 instead of...
Is it 21”? If yes, which winter tires are you planing to use? And has Porsche approved a set of 21” winter tires?
I heard that the Michelin Alpin Pilot 5 should be ok to use on a Taycan, but am not sure that Porsche has officially approved them.
Hi, anyone have or consider using the 21” mission e as winter wheels?
Given we have mild winters here in DK, I think it will work with the open wheel and wide tires. Only concern would be if the wheels and PSCB will be damage due to the salt on the roads?
I’m also aiming for a discrete 50% tint for the back side windows and maybe a darker 35% for the rear window - or 50% like you. Can you share some more pics from different angels? It’s a bit difficult to see on your current picture. Thanks
Well... it all comes down to your budget and how much you are willing to spend in order to get a bit faster acceleration and some minor front/rear styling differences. In my case the difference between my ordered 4S+ and similar Turbo was 45k $, so that was simply too much for me to justify...
Also consider Adaptive Cruise Control.
I think it is a must when driving on the highway/motorway and if you get that option you can always upgrade to Innodrive through FoD service.
You should consider changing your Privacy Glass to:
Acoustically insulated laminated privacy glass
Reduces the wind noise and makes the Bose sound system much better.
Exactly my thoughts!
My only concern would be if the salt/sand used on winter/icy roads will damage the 21” exclusive wheels in gloss black? Some mentions that here but nothing I personally have experienced.
I was torn between the 21” mission e and the 21” exclusive design, so went with the mission e as summer rims/wheels and are looking for a set of the 21” exclusive design as my winter rims/wheels :)
The past couple of years I have been driving with 21” as winter rims/wheelson my Model S with no...
Personally I don’t care about the Plaid Model S - the current Ludicrous is plenty fast, has more than enough range for most people and besides in Germany, where can you use the current 261 km/h top speed??? In terms of what the current Taycan offers, I still prefer that over the Plaid.

I chose the standard leather interior with a Race-tex steering wheel, as it is almost the same as the vegan interior option, but at a fraction of the price. I also believe that the standard leather option in the Taycan is a lot better than in their other models.
