Guess I will have to ask my Porsche dealer about these recalls next time we speak.
Thanks, I did not know it was the same worldwide. Read that you had a recall, just not that it was the ARA4.
Heavy stuff, but it seems they are really trying to fix everything in a systematic manner. Still not great news ofcourse. Wondering if there is any way in checking which (of this vast list of) recalls apply to your own specific vehicle in the Netherlands, similar to the system with the letters...
My understanding is that there is no difference. Mission-e’s with the standard brakes make the brakes look fairly small as the mission-e’s are large and have a rather open design. Depends on personal preference whether you like it.
For some reason the 21” spider design wheels do not require the...
Nice find.
Personally can’t really tell though as it is still a render, which never captures like an actual picture let alone seeing this irl. And it is possibly one of the worser colors to say anything about the design. Dark colours are nice, but they hide styling. Especially on the Taycan...
No subscription at the moment and can confirm this works. Almost all other features are no longer working without the subscription.
For the record it’s the latest updated Porsche App.
My dealer called end December to schedule a pro active recall in January, hopefully a smooth replacement.
I hear they also no longer place the old flawed heater module. Which until recently they did, which is mind boggling.
Having read that even a few weeks back people got the old heater installed after failure and mine is in this week for the heater swap. How can I know if they installed the previous failure-prone one or a new and improved one? Is there a part number that I could check that anyone knows of...
I pay 60-80 euro to a wheel repair professional. Would not even consider DIY but YMMV. Good luck and post some before/during/after pics if you think about it?
Really nice build and congrats!
Nothing obvious missing I would say but just to check (sorry if it is already discussed, too lazy to read the whole thread)
No need for the larger battery or the 400v option that allows you to fast charge at tesla superchargers?
I did spot a free “ashtray” that...
Maybe that explains it, yet (in NL) I still have the pre-heat/cool feature above without the connect subscription.
Or should I not mention as Porsche may be reading here as well?
I did not realise it would be different in other countries. I am in the Netherlands.
You just press this button in the picture below and then the menu of the second picture appears. If you don’t get this without the subscription it is indeed quite bad..
Also not being able to see the SoC...
Still works without the connect subsription.?
To me, the most annoying missing feature is not being able to see current SoC and if/how fast currently charging in the app and you cannot start/stop charging remotely without the subscription.
Brave soul?
I do enjoy looking at mods as sometimes they are a gem and others might not be to my personal liking, but who cares. It’s your car. Cool to see your thinking, it is not just slapping on some random material. You followed some of the lines already there and build on that, like the...
Yeah, really boggles me as it’s about 1200 or so. A white car with grey wheel elements is an acquired taste if you ask me, maybe talk to your sales rep?
Congrats on the new Taycan by the way. Great color. Got the metallic white or the unicoat?
Loads of good stuff out there. Try the detailers section for products that are mild, effective and leave no residue. Poorboys world / DodoJuice / Meguiars / Mother's I have tried them all and all work great. I believe Dodo and Poorboys also come in tiny little tester size sprays (60/120ml?) that...
You mean like this? Ouch.. poor Taycan?
Not sure whether you have the air suspension, but that should allow for a very smooth ride if needed.
The tyre brand and type can also make a huge difference. I remember a set of runflat tires.. such noise!
Or maybe 20’s are the sweetspot for you.
