For me this happens in standby mode. But if I turn it off vs standby, I need to bring the display menu up to turn it back on. Tapping does not wake it up from off, only from standby.

There really isn’t much value in the 5G service. LTE is far more widely deployed, will reach between buildings in cities, mountain passes, in tunnels more consistently nationwide and is more than adequate for ota services like software updates and streaming music.
