thanks......this is on a 2021 with wireless CP baked in and while using the wireless charger in the center console?

I have a modified unit in my 2020 TS for CarPlay usage and find it drains the iPhone battery even if being wirelessly charged is this common even with 2021 models OEM CarPlay functionality? Curious when the long awaited update comes for 2020 wireless CarPlay if the battery drain will be less...

@NC_Taycan When you mention pre-condition, is that the option for choosing interior temp? Not sure how that would affect whether the battery warms or not or maybe I’m missing something?

I understand all the processes for optimal charging What I’m trying to understand is......is it possible to warm the battery with a timer set @ home to start the day and is it beneficial starting the day with a warm battery vs cold battery

I guess what I’m trying to figure out is if: 1) range is optimized by a warm battery vs starting the day cold 2) setting a departure timer will warm the battery sufficiently

Question......... is it beneficial to have a warmer (optimized) battery when I start driving each day to maximize range and efficiency? if so, does setting the departure timer automatically warm the battery to the optimal temperature?

not sure what you mean by plugged the phone in the adapter you need to get power to the CarPlay unit 1st, then connect your phone to the carplay unit via the web address

I’m out and about so I don’t have the info but it was on the little pamphlet which came with the unit Not sure if your unit had a guide of how to setup like the one I had

plug in unit for power Type in web address to connect to the device from your phone Once connected it will give you an option to reset as well to update the FW

@Marshall Had a very similar situation happen to me last week after using for the past month It was useless, would show power with the red light but that was it I removed it from the car, brought it inside and did a reset to the unit I deleted any wifi or bluetooth connections on my phone...
