I think Dolomite Silver looks old school and blah…a bit of the Back to the Future brushed aluminum DeLorean
Two best colors on Taycan -
Ice Grey
Neptune Blue
?
The loaner car had Taycan Turbo Aero wheels
Mine and loaner do not have air suspension, unfortunately.
The ride and handling on the 20’s were noticeably improved
No question I’d go with 20’s, + rim damage on curbs with 21’s suck
I have 21” Spyders on my 23 RW Taycan.
Had a week with same Taycan model as a loaner for a week. For me, a big difference in ride quality
21’s are pretty, but hands down would choose 20’s - superior ride
Sounds great.
where do you get this - see below for “little money?”
For little money I bought a set of OEM 19” wheels with brand new Michelin pilot sport 4 tyres.
I have 21’s on my Taycan and had a loaner for 2 weeks with the same suspension and 20’s.
I found the 20’s to be a noticeably more comfortable ride.
if I had to do it again, no question I’d go with 20’s. The slightly improved appearance doesn’t make the harsher ride worth it - IMO
thanks. Item description doesn’t indicate fitting a Taycan. It’s also black. My interior is grey. I want a thick steering heated wheel.
BTW - the heated wheel works great
let me try to find one - sounds like mine would work well for you. Next is finding out how much installation costs
Would love to hear an answer as well about changing a Taycan steering wheel.
I have a RWD Taycan with standard “skinny” heated steering. Feels cheap. Would love to retrofit to a thicker wheel. It’s one of the most important parts of the car. That’s what you hold during your driving experience.
Setting minimum charge to 80% gets the job done. Plug and play.
Still no timer function working
Porsche NA has set up an appointment with me to review it, take photos of PCM and communicate with German engineers
Thanks
I will try it and report back
my understanding is if I do so, it will immediately charge to 85% and the timer won’t come into play
still, not a bad solution so it doesn’t go to 100%
I’ve never been able to get charging timer to work
These are my settings
What am I doing incorrectly, please?
every morning, with power plugged in from Chargepoint device, it always says “charging on hold”
Thank you.
I’ve followed every piece of advice and instructions from the Forum and the dealers.
It’s never worked for me, or the dealers
I’ve been told it’s a software problem that needs resolution by Germany
I have no idea what to do now.
Appreciate Taycan guidance
my charging timer has never worked
Purchased new 12/22
received detailed instructions on setting timer
Two separate service visits at two dealerships without success
Emails and calls to Porsche NA (months) for help in finding a solution go unanswered
my only way...
Stunning video. Great work. Neptune Blue and Ice Grey are my favorite Taycan colors.
Did you take off the "S" rear designation and paint it RED? Very nice!
Thanks Outie. Very helpful.
I've been spinning my wheels with the dealer with little results.
This gives me a different path to pursue.
I don't know why Porsche NA recommended a dealer fix, but they clearly have no capability to fix these kinds of issues.
Your PCM connectivity issues have...
I have no ability to open Apple Music, Spotify - all the apps are "greyed out" and I get this message. Contacted Porsche NA, and they said I had to bring it to the dealer to get it corrected. Car sat at the Porsche dealer for two weeks and couldn't get it operating. Brought it in a 2nd time...
Thank you Derek
Your counsel is very helpful
I’m new to the electric world and had assumed these were fully baked products, not works in progress. Surprised dealer has little capability to correct these issues. Now I better understand how to manage this for my own sanity.
