Cheers. I tried it again yesterday at the Ionity charger in Blackburn, and this time I navigated to Leeds and manipulated the sat nav so it would recommend charging at the Ionity, and it did indeed pre-heat the battery, although the journey was a bit short which resulted in it not pre-heating to...
Thanks for the info. I wonder if that's why I seem to have had a free charge at Folkestone? Still hasn't appeared in my Porsche Charging Service account, and yet the other Ionity charges did immediately. The charge at Folkestone was super quick and worked flawlessly, however.
Interesting. I'm driving today around 100 km, and I'll need to charge at an Ionity, so I'll try putting my final destination in and letting it schedule a stop at Ionity and see if it pre-conditions the battery.
I knew I wanted a specific Ionity location, so I just put in the destination after...
@f1eng Here's an update on my long journey, which hopefully gives you some useful info for your trip to Anglesey. And good luck with your pick-up today! Enjoy it, and post some photos asap.
So, I'm in Leeds now after driving from Surrey on Monday evening. This journey didn't go quite as well...
For a legend like yourself, Frank, it’ll be my pleasure! Next time I drive it will be Monday evening from Surrey to Leeds. I plan to make one stop to charge at the Ionity Milton Keynes. Full details to come!
I have an allocation for a GTS ST due to be built in June next year. I'm kinda settled on Mamba Green for that.
Yeah. Monday night we're driving from Surrey (near SW London) up to Leeds. Then across to Lancashire, northwest of Manchester and back again to Leeds. Then finally a long drive from...
Yep! Well, 12 km sounds a lot better than 4%. I wouldn't have done that if there wasn't a "plan B". But yeah, I suppose cutting it fine like that on my first long journey in my first EV, at one o'clock in the morning is quite "ballsy". I was confident it would work out fine.
Last night my family and I took our first, of what will be regular, long-distance trips across Europe. As it's my first EV, I was obviously keen to find out how the 3-week-old car would handle the mission, and to see how reliable the charging would be.
We set off from our home in the...
The point being discussed is the info as reported by the vehicle, not the EVSE. The BMW app reports the charging sessions from the perspective of the vehicle. The Porsche app doesn't.
Not raised it with my dealer, but if I did I highly doubt he would do anything other than to say "lucky you".
To be honest, I'm not that fussed about comfort access. I like to open the car before I get to it and see the lights come on. I also think it can be quite annoying when it opens and...
Congrats on the new car. Looks fabulous.
I picked up my new Taycan exactly two weeks ago, and I also received comfort access even though I never specced it. I've no idea why.
It *is* standard equipment...
"Caricabatterie on-board con fino a 150 kW per la corrente continua (DC) nelle stazioni di ricarica pubbliche con una tensione di 400 V"
On-board charger with up to 150 kW for direct current (DC) at public charging stations with a voltage of 400 V
Yes. The BMW app shows data from the car and not just the data from the charging service. Below you can see the overall summary, and then you can click on a particular session to see more detail, such as SoC at the start and end, etc.
Right. I think I remember now. I must be getting confused with the trim accents which cannot be changed from black unless you go for the full leather in place of the Race-Tex.
The deviated stitching is almost as much as the Interior Package, which makes the GTS interior package seem good value...
I'm in Holland, but I was under the impression that you couldn't spec a different colour stitching unless you went full leather. I'll have another look at the configurator. Maybe I'm mistaken and thinking about the trim accents that can't be changed.
I don't see this in my app. That is, somewhere which is labeled "charging history". The closest I see in the app is under "Charging Service", and then "transactions", and indeed it shows my charging transactions as part of the Porsche Charging Service, but there is nowhere in the app where it...
