Since this thread is full of sweeping generalizations, including some of my own, I thought I would add that you have more of a chance of encountering an EV fire at a Tesla supercharger than at a EA location. Reason #2 to avoid a Tesla supercharger.
Reason #1 being not wanting to...
Here are the details of my one and only magic dock experience. Compare that with what I did today at the Electrify America. 20 minutes versus 56 minutes and I still onboarded more at the EA.
The Silverado actually uses two 400-volt battery packs so the truck doubles the voltage during...
I know what you mean because today it really sucked to hit 350kW speeds and load 103kWh in 20 minutes in my Silverado EV in Grand Junction, CO . The same amount would have taken me more than an hour at a magic dock Tesla charger. How do I know that? Because I was forced to use the one in...
The pictures I posted are from EA experiences in Utah this week..
But, I get it, the California Electrify America experience is vastly different than whai I experience in Colorado, Utah, Arizona, New Mexico, Wyoming, Montana, Idaho, Nebraska, Kansas, Oklahoma, or Texas - all which I have been...
This week's road trip throughout Colorado and Utah courtesy of Electrify America.
I am out enjoying unseasonably warm weather is some of the most scenic parts of the US in my big electric pick up truck. Pictures of charging speeds and charging locations were taken today and yesterday...
I had my '22 CT4s brake recall done last week in Denver.
It took the dealership about a 5 days to get the parts in and then it took a little more than half a day to get the repair/labor process done.
Can you Over the Air better looks for the Lucid?
Cool driving features, but who wants to be seen in broad daylight getting in and out of that glorified Buick looking thing???
Between the sedan and the new Gravity, Lucid is setting the art of vehicle exterior design back decades.
45k views? Once again, who cares?
Kyle obviously has no sway or influence with Electrify America, or they would have taken action years ago in response to his many videos complaining about them.
The charging situation in large metro areas with high ratios of EV ownership will only change...
Kyle making a 15 minute video complaining about the high speed charging network in LA since he was unable to charge in the middle of the day in one of the most high EV ownership dense cities in the US? Who cares. He has no one to blame but himself for the situation he found himself in.
On...
I had the same issues at that Tesla charger in Moab over the 4th of July in my new Silverado pick'em up truck and it was only like 95 degrees. It took me almost 90 minutes to get to 90% state of charge to continue my drive down to Flagstaff. Lucky for me I no longer need to depend on that...
@kort I just love your snark attitude, and condescending tone.
But, you are soooooooooooooooo right because EVERYONE knows that you want to limit your charging speeds to 150kW in a Taycan when leveraging out of the way non Electrify America chargers while on a road trip.
Jesus, you are about...
@Tooney has been on a roll posting negative info on Electrify America over the past few days, so what is the alternative charging option for long distance over the road travel if you are a Taycan owner?
Tesla supercharging access is not coming anytime soon to a Porsche EV owner...
You better suck it up with what is out there because Tesla is not coming anytime soon to help any Porsche EV owner.
https://www.pcmag.com/news/tesla-supercharger-access-delayed-for-gm-polestar-next-crop-of-ev-brands
Seems the impulsive layoff of the entire Supercharger team has delayed...
Jesus. here we go again.
This forum is a f*cking broken record on Electrify America. Is some of it deserved? Absolutely. But there are a few members on this forum that have actually road tripped a significant number of miles in an EV and successfully leveraged the Electrify America...
In before it gets locked!!!
And, of course, there is this:

Politics, as they say, makes strange bedfellows.
There you have it.
This is a little messed up when you consider the new Chevy Silverado EV, or the Hummer EV, can charge up to 350kW speeds. Both of those cars have a +210kWh sized battery. For the purposes of this forum, the refreshed Taycan has huge charging speeds now as well, so it...
thanks for the extra detail on EVGo chargers.
Do you know if two cars are using the same cabinet simultaneously do they split the 350kW speed, so each would max out at 175kW? Or, would each car still get that max charging speed of 350kW? I am just curious because that would make a difference...
I certainly get what you have laid out, but it is a different ball game when someone is a frequent road tripper in an electric vehicle. When I can get the same charging speeds at a different high speed charger that charges $.10 less a kWh then I would leverage that if I was road tripping in...
