Im thinking of doing the same, getting up to Scotland next year; but as always it’s the big question of where to charge. Ive seen some owners on here from Scotland so will wait to hear from them to see where to charge in future..
Hi there, welcome to the forum, we had our car (Taycan 4S) recalled back to the factory whilst it was at Emden waiting to be loaded onto the ship, delayed our delivery by two weeks, but as I’ve seen others on here already say “it’s better to be recalled BEFORE you get the car rather than whilst...
Only issues I’m aware of are 12v battery issues and some PMCC overheating issues. Only worrying moment I had was first day of ownership driving along M27 in fast lane car went into range mode (I had not set it up at this point) and slowed me to 60 mph. People behind must have thought I was being...
lol had a great drive back from mid Sussex Porsche to our home, must have heard that song about 10 times before we got bored. Then we played together in electric dreams by Phillip Oakey...
Alright, calm down, was just stating what Id read on here from People earlier on in the year about
Level 2 chargers. Hence why I’d asked the OP what charger he was using. If your the expert on all things Taycan related then I’ll take my hat off to you. Whole idea of a forum is to ask questions...
Just looking at earlier threads, some people have said that some type 2 chargers did not work with the Taycan, which one are you using? Also regards PMCC any chance it has overheated, or like Dave T has said perhaps flipped a circuit breaker or fuse?
Have you tried setting the profile to ”direct charge only” to see if that works? Also are you able to remove the charging cable from the car or is it locked in place?
Thats a lot of faults for a new car, If that was me I think I would be doing the same and getting a refund under the 30 day consumer rights rule. Got to say though my car is going well and am a happy bunny.
I brought a New Merc GLE coupe and had no end of issues with that, and did the same as...
I’ll be honest Neighs, I’ve not had any problems with it so far but have only used it to setup and select charge profiles or check on the charge state...
I would be tempted to see about hiring a row boat! Great news though Neighs, as now you know your talking about an actual car and not an idea or a computer programme. It's one more step closer to being on the driveway.
Hi Neighs, unfortunate to hear, but the trouble is we won't ever get the full info on whats going on in either the factory, the spares chain, the logistics chain or even the political chain, any one of which can delay delivery. Thinking about UK lockdown (Kind of) and German lockdown (Kind of)...
Absolutely loving the car, finding out what works and what needs tweaking. Was going to try to fit a dash cam but after seeing Porsche’s attitude on fitting aftermarket items, and not knowing 100percent about how the 12v system will react to me attaching wires to the fuses, I’ve decided I’ll go...
Yep couldn’t agree more. Already writing 2020 off as one to forget! Me and the wife were talking potential driving tours again with the Taycan. Even that seemed a world away.
