Sorry about deleting my original. And thanks for your 2 cents..
The original thread was about lease vs purchase.
It's $100k car, and lease is $3500 due + $1550/month (horrible).
Still by saving the big downpayment through the lease, it seems I can take advantage of the hot market.
I don't think VIN lookup is already working for a recall Porsche has not even officially announced.
I checked the RWD VIN which got the update today, and the VIN didn't show up any recall.
My dealer said they've finished patching the s/w but the Porsche Connect has been down nationwide, so they can't finish the update. At this point, I don't think I understand what's going on.
You may want to check with your dealer again.
I believe my dealership tried to apply the new version (not newer, I guess AMB6?) yesterday (Tue) but the new one was pulled off by Porsche. My impression is that the newer version will come out today (seems not even released yet).
Not yet, the dealer told me that they're going to *try* the new patch today but he was not sure.
At this point, I kinda lost confidence if the new s/w actually will resolve the motor control issue.
Apparently, Porsche cancelled the s/w patch and released a *newer* patch. My dealer said they couldn't apply the patch because Porsche asked to pull it and apply a new one.
I really wish Porsche knows what they're doing...
At this point, the above guys with the DME patch already may need to...
This is happening. I went to dealership today, and all Taycans were not eligible for test driver nor for pick up due to this patch. I wish the patch will put an end to this horrible bug.
I was going to post the link of the car in the dealer site, and it's sold already...
Surprised because it has quite specific setup, so I thought it'd take longer to go away.
Ugly default wheel and no panorama, no plus battery. But most expensive beige leather..
I hope it's in good hands and it...
no nhtsa complaint for RWD, but I saw a couple of posts about the same error on RWD in this forum site. RWD came to US very recently, so it may take some time to see if it's immune, which I highly doubt.
As of today, the NHTSA complaint number is 32, and almost all of them came in the last month or so. Even if it's for all 6500, the percentage is about 0.5%, and if it's for newer models only, then the percentage might be crazy. That's why I cancelled mine. The chance for the new 2021s is really...
RWD with some options like ACC. Obviously has tires...
However, I've cancelled mine a week ago because of the rising number of the power loss. The dealer texted me anyway with a picture of the car. It looks beautiful...
The NHTSA number is now 30 (23 for 2020, 7 for 2021). It was 9 when the investigation started. One complaint per day.
I've just canceled my order. I don't like to be afraid of losing power every time I drive Taycan after paying $100+k.
