hi there as I understand it I can claim 100% first year allowance up front even though I’m financing it on a contract purchase (as opposed to lease). When I sell it or hand it back the value received for the car is a taxable gain but that’s okay as at least that charge is deferred for a while :)

yep it’s the dealer applying but apparently they need to know if the car is being financed or not and what name (or company name) it is going to be registered in to lodge the initial application it’s a finance purchase rather than lease so expecting to benefit from the £3.5k towards my deposit

Just to update I ended up with a Porsche PCP through my business at 6.1% APR, £110k list price, £55k deposit and £55k GFV after 3 years and 30k miles. I’m happy with that. Applying for OLEV grant now to try to get in the queue before it potentially runs out.

Hi @Lfcdan I just got a PCP quote today from Porsche, which was at 6.8% APR. Have all dealers reduced the APR or is that something that needs to be negotiated with the specific dealer do you think? Cheers

I'm told the V250 was actually 10th January. Expected production date early April....

My 4S went to V250 on 10 Jan but apparently isn’t being built until early April :-(

Ouch. Got a contract hire price and it came in at 6 + 35 payments of £1,467.20 plus VAT. Given I can get half the VAT back that comes out at £66k over 3 years and 30k miles. That’s without maintenance and is probably because there are £27k of extras on my 4S build I guess bringing the price to...

I’ll enquire with the dealer about whether the car is actually locked... I was told it was on 10th Jan at V250 but as you say it seems the 4S builds have been pushed back so it may not actually be locked.
