Hi, I have not had the issue so not 100%, but try it with the AC switched off. https://www.taycanforum.com/forum/threads/tsb-whirring-vibration-noise-in-the-area-of-the-front-end-check-air-conditioningcompressor-mounts-are-secure-july-20-2023.16898/

    Heating Failure

Just got the heater issue.. Nice long drive back from the parents at Christmas and the the first thing I noticed was the windows misting up and then not clearing. 2.5hr of driving with the window open in the UK winter results in an unhappy family. Waiting for a call back from the dealer now.

Poll How do you use your regen modes?

Auto Regen is great, I just wish I could set it to come on automatically. You can follow someone down a hill and never touch the brakes, as someone said a poor mans Auto Cruise Control. You have to be careful though as the brake lights do not come on, so it can catch others out who are behind you.

    Instrument cluster faulty

So....my Taycan got a full replacement cluster and now everything is working, so I have fog lights again, which is handy given the time of year.

    Instrument cluster faulty

Mine went in for the recall, a service and to sort the cluster faulty(yes I have had the fault for over a year) last week. Mine came on intermittently, sometimes fine for weeks. However, it now comes on at start up and then the error will return every 15mins without fail, (you clear the fault...

V2H (Vehicle to home) and Bi-directional charging

Thanks all for the replies. I see this as something that will get some serious attention, as the number of electric cars increase and the associated pressure on the grid, the cost of buying a battery for electric storage is too high so this seems like part of the solution. it looks like other...

V2H (Vehicle to home) and Bi-directional charging

Hi, Has anyone heard when the over the air update will come to enable bi-directional charging? I found this article https://zecar.com/post/porsche-tests-bidirectional-charging-on-the-taycan But has TBC in the date column. With the energy crisis it would be great to use the Taycan to power...

Porsche Dealership Chargers - Charging Card?

https://www.porsche.com/international/aboutporsche/e-performance/charging-bev/ Maybe it is just Europe but you can download the 'Porsche Charging Service' App and if I remember you register and they send you a card as per the previous post. You can then drive into a Porsche dealership and...

Does anyone actually charge to only 80%?

In the manual it states 85% Use the Timer or Profile function to program a maximum high-voltage battery charge of 85% for daily use of the vehicle without any long-distance driving. If required, a battery charge of 100% can be programmed before starting long journeys. I have generally charged...

Wanted: PMC Plus - Red 32amp 400v supply cable

Hi Tom, unfortunately not. Nothing back from the Porsche dealer on it either. One did come up on eBay, but not before I had my Zappi installed at home. Good luck finding one. Ian

It has gone away and come back a couple of times now. I will need to get it booked in.

How did you pay for your Taycan?

Company Car route; which to me is a lease, specifically as it is classed as salary sacrifice, which you basically pay no income tax on the lease charges (over £1.2k per month for a Taycan) so this saves you 45% on the income tax you would have paid. You then have to pay BiK (Benefit in Kind tax...

Disaster! Spec missing the one thing I wanted. ????

Just to show my age, I remember Knight Riders 'Silent Mode'. That comes as standard on the Taycan! ?

Disaster! Spec missing the one thing I wanted. ????

I must admit I did not spec it and I really wanted it (also looked into how i could have it retro fitted and got the same price). However, having owned the car for a couple of months now, I am not missing it. I actually really like the silence and you have a great futuristic sound from the...

Wanted: PMC Plus - Red 32amp 400v supply cable

https://www.rapidtables.com/calc/electric/Amp_to_kW_Calculator.html it is a good point, but i was looking at the calculations (link above) and I am no electrician, but with 3 phase you are running at 400v and 400v at 32 amp give you 22kw. So 16amp at 400v gives you 11kw, which is the max...

Wanted: PMC Plus - Red 32amp 400v supply cable

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/194259956830?hash=item2d3acbb45e:g:96oAAOSw8chg-sWz A 16Amp one on ebay. Looks like the same part on an Audi E-tron, which makes sense. I am not sure if that would be OK, as I think it will only draw power at 16Amp, i.e. 11kW. But I am not sure and would rather it...

Wanted: PMC Plus - Red 32amp 400v supply cable

Hi W1NGE, The new version of the PMC plus allows charging up to 11kW. My on board is only 11kW. I have a 3 phase supply socket at 32amp 400v in my garage, that I could just plug into with the PMC plus, but just have the wrong supply cable :( I am still waiting for my Zappi to be installed...

Wanted: PMC Plus - Red 32amp 400v supply cable

Part number 7PP.971.678.CD Does anyone have this cable spare, it is the red industrial socket one 32amp 400v. I did not specify it on placing the order and I have a 32Amp 250v blue one (the default), which I cannot use but I do have 3 phase power as I have moved house since I ordered. Happy to...
