  1. New Taycan 4S Owner - First Do's and Dont's

Just pay attention in the morning not to jump in your washing machine instead of your Porsche.
  2. Battery Technology

After 3 years of driving electric cars I think going forward battery size will be irrelevant if more charging points will be available.
  3. Trying to prove that Planning a long Road Trip in a Taycan is very easy

After 3 years of electrical motoring in UK I bought a diesel car for long distances :) The only way I could enjoy EV will be when retired and with no children. I admire pioneers travelling up and down the Country and I like to read their adventures.
  4. Porsche says “significant price increases” coming middle of this year

or they will increase the price just because thay can :)
  5. Porsche says “significant price increases” coming middle of this year

Understandable move! What’s the point for a business selling a product and get the money 18/20 months later? Sellling less cars at higher price with a 2/3 months delivery time it’s more profitable.
  6. HV Battery trouble?

Not surprised it’s available in 2 days. Such a ugly thing!
  7. UK Insurance - Company Car

She is actually going to drive it most of the time, if not all the time :( I could possibly be just the named driver on her insurance?
  8. UK Insurance - Company Car

I was quoted 1500 squids for my (not here yet) Taycan ct 4s. My I-pace last year was 450. I had a non fault accident meantime and this year it jumped to 800. The Taycan will double that. Being a company car I wonder if the register keeper can be my wife. With my wife main driver the insurance...
  9. To boot (trunk) or not.

Good the World is not black and white!
  10. CT with 2 children, seats options

You certainly can adapt children to you life style. My main worry driving the Boxster with my baby on the passenger seat was about safety. Not very safe in a car crash… same as any 3 doors car. It can take quite a lot of time to cut the roof off if fireman had to intervene… however I talk like...
  11. Taycan CT4S | First 5000Km

i like the idea of the vegan interior. I just struggle to justify the price porsche is asking. Same as the leather option. How can recycled plastic be more expensive than leather? Can someone enlighten me and my ignorance?
  12. CT with 2 children, seats options

Great feedbacks folks! Thanks! Had to get back to Porsche at some point after I sold my Boxster… didn’t like any SUV box branded Porche and the Panamera wasn’t a great fit. I fell in love at first with the Taycan but couldn’t fit a pram/buggy in… the CT can take our buggy and the 4 year old...
  13. CT with 2 children, seats options

CT Not the Best family car ever with 1 year old and 4 year old children. However more spacious than 4 door Taycan :) To make in an out more difficult also got the sport seats option. question is, anybody with 2 children seats in the back? What brand did you buy? not sure the actual seats in my...
  14. Beautiful Inside and Out

Beautifully designed, Porsche build quality. I only find the central console a bit outdated. Doesn’t blend with the rest as I would like to…
  15. MB EQE SUV vs. Waiting for Macan EV

the Model X design is more interesting then this Merc. The EQ line Looks bleak and dismissed, cheap at my eyes. Tesla X at least has got the exotic rear door and a lot of presence the Merc doesn’t have. At this price tag presence and look is one of the most important selling feature. I was sold...
  16. MB EQE SUV vs. Waiting for Macan EV

Incredibly ugly. Can’t find anything I like about the design, exterior and interior. Looks like a cinese copy of a Merc SUV?.
  17. All Season Tyres. Help please.

I was just looking at all season tyres as well… cross Climate 2 great under my Caravelle, heavy beast like the Taycan CT. Travelled around Europe in winter and I would not go back to swap tyres in Summer/Winter. However I think the driving pleasure will be compromised. Not sure what to do…
  18. Consensus on proper maintenance of the 12V battery while on vacation?

I have always charged my car to 100% every day for the last 3 years. Left it for weeks at the airport or in the garage. After 3 years not lost one mile of range. Treat it like it’s a washing machine and you’ll be fine.
  19. From I-Pace to CT 4S

5 jaguar later… and 3 years with my I-Pace decided to part with it for a CT 4S. Not easy decision because the I-Pace has been perfectly reliable over the last 3 Years with build quality never seen before with JLR. Even the battery after 3 years didn’t lose one mile of range. Uk motorway 190...
