Ok I want to post the solution to my issue. If you ever get in the situation where you know you have a SiriusXM subscription (even the free one) but the logo shows greyed out so unable to select it (it pops up a Function not available box.
Program one of your shortcut buttons (diamond) to...
It took me several tries using two fingers up near the time. It seems to be very particular and your fingers need to be side by side horizontally on my screen. I noticed in the video that is how he did it and it worked for me. So don't have them staggered.
I'm hoping this reset will fix a...
I too opt'ed for XPEL because it's thicker so more likely to survive what the world has to throw at it. I hope I don't get marked up my a sharpie :). I'm also doing full ceramic. The car is available Sat evening so look forward to seeing how effective it is over the next few years.
Argh i'm having this issue as well. What a pain since I already have a SiriusXM subscription when I changed the VIN to my Taycan it started happening. I hope it stops soon. Did others find this is a software issue or did the SiriusXM reset help? My cars getting PPT/ceramic this week so can't try...
I'm trying to decide on which PPF manufacturer and see XPEL recommended on many posts. I'm about to go in this direction but saw this video showing that 3M was much better (at least certain markings). Perhaps 3M is worse for actual dent resilience since its thinner then XPEL (?).
Sorry replying to my own post. I ended up cancelling this build as I fell into a 4S that was available over the weekend. If someone is looking for something (frozen) and on this timeline please PM me and i'll connect you to my SA. Delivery is just north of Los Angeles.
Wow $40K ADM is insane. I've been looking quite a bit at Audit GT, Taycan 4/4S and the BMW I4 M50 (finally bought a Taycan 4S this past weekend!) and the most common ADM in Southern CA that I found was $15-20K for the Taycan. Long story but I had a build for the summer at $10K but also certainly...
Have any of you lucky June deliveries experienced any deleted features due to the chip shortage? Does Porsche let you know if they are doing something different to your car ahead of time? Sorry i'm gun-shy after hearing bad stories about the BMW i4 deletions (plus some Audi models).
I'm an August (birthday month!) delivery :please: for a Taycan RWD after bailing on a previously ordered BMW i4 M50 (they are having major chip/part issues!). My Taycan is Gentian Blue with Black interior with a good amount of options including: Premium and Technology packages, PB+, 19.2kw AC...
I've spoken to a lot of dealerships in Southern California and no one is selling at MSRP as they expect allocations to be very limited the rest of the year.
When does Porsche generally start producing the next MY. I know this varies by manufacturer (BMW tends to be around July).
I ask as my car is due to be completed production on July 1st so am wonder if that is the tail end of MY22.
Thoughts?
