Discussion irrelevant of your car I think.
My personal feeling: Stick with Android. The hardware is good anyway you go in the flagship phones, but from a software point of view Android has surpassed iOS and the difference is getting bigger.
2021 4S. 3.500km in 2.5 months. A part from rare and minute software glitch (the word "destination" in the satvav turns to German from time to time) no issues whatsoever. Very happy.
Any worries about impact on battery, 12v issues, range,... Really debating this Blackvue set up myself and can't seem to set myself over the worries of getting 12v issues or impact on range. Am I just being stupid?
I tend to agree with most people in this topic. At some point enough is enough. And that point has come now for me. At 47 years old and with the purchase of ly first new Porsche I'm stopping the money slurping changing cars every 24 months or so. I'm sticking with this car for 6 to 8 years...
It’s very strange, I also thought I would really mis this but the speed at which I have become used to the EV zoom noise is incredible. Contrary to my first instincts I’m not missing traditional ICE engine sound at all.
Not to be negative. But most of the electricity we are all using to power our Taycans is also produced by fossil or nuclear fuel. Even those with ”green” electricity, as the total production of green electricity is limited that just means other consumption is pushed to ”non green” electricity...
Same here. From time to time this one word switches to German and back. But no impact on anything else and only this one word. If it doesn’t go any further than this I’m not going to let it bother me.
Good post, thx! Good to hear there are also people out there with good EA experiences.
Strange that the E Tron charges faster seeing the 800v tech in the Taycan. Also interested to know why you didn’t use 350kwh chargers?
You were very conservative in your charging stops, what was your total...
I am also an Android user, not an Apple fan, and always drive with Waze on. By far most accurate ETA, adaptive trajectories based on traffic, police control, reminders for fixed trajectory speed traps,... So I needed something where the phone would be visible.
After seeking information on this...
Just about 3.000km (1.864 miles) in 2 months (picked her up in Jan. 8th). Somewhere around 1.000 mies per month is normal for me. I’m also homeworking due to COVID however virtually no impact on car mileage as I do my commuting in ”normal times” on a BMW 650 GT scooter (I really hate traffic...
A friend of mine installs after market stuff like high end audio, rear view cams and the last years a lot of dashcams for insurance and liability reasons.
He does a lot of Porsche, Bentley, Aston, high end BMW and Mercedes so I'm not really concerned by the quality of the work or damage to...
After just over 2 months of ownership finally some sun! ? Some more pics. This Cherry Red is so "alive" depending on light and sun you can't have enough pictures for people looking for info on the forum.
It's the first time since a very long time I have had the courage to go for something other...
Any idea what that Audi mule in the left of the picture is? Is the picture from a long time a go? Etron sportback? Or is this recent? Some kind of smaller ev suv based on Q4?
I like it to. But for me personally for some strange and inexplicable reason I associate EV with ”max aerodynamics ” and this does not match in my brain. Hard to explain.
Yes, I have had both. I8 is a small 2 seat PHEV with virtualy no boot. Don’t get me wrong, fabulous car, I loved it, but it’s not really comparable to the Taycan.
