that is good. So you have an actual order! Congrats.
your dealer is more lenient than others. Since Porsche’s are very customizable, it is reasonable that they ask for a non refundable deposit Since maybe hard to sell if you order something offbeat like a green with red interior ;)
hmmm....that is odd.
Unless you have a long standing relationship with the dealer, they usually ask for a non-refundable deposit once they ask you to configure your order because they have an allocation for you. The amount ranges per dealer but can be another 4k or up to 10% of your order...
You need to check with the dealer if you have a specific allocation. If you do, then the schedule he gave you is likely the best estimate provided by Porsche Germany. That of course can change by weeks or months. If you don't have an allocation, then it is just an estimate for when he thinks...
My car has entered production last week!
Was originally an April delivery, but now late May.
Hopefully no more delays since I am hoping that a production start means that it is well underway.
Wow. I didn't remember that they drove the car to "empty" and did that repeatedly.
That definitely gives a more accurate picture than trying to extrapolate based on what the range estimator is saying.
Cool.
I got all of them except for the brakes. I figure that anything that improves the driving experience is worth it for me, and I don't plan on stopping that often ;)
It really depends on what else you would do with the money you spend to figure out the relative worth.
I don't know if this applies to all EVs or higher performance ones, but my guess is that Porsche rather remove it than have customers complaining about the poor quality.
FWIW, my dealer, a large one on the west coast, doesn't even know if there is a 4S launch event. They did have a launch event for the new 911 and I got an invite for that about 2 months ahead of time..
Thanks. makes sense. In a recent article, it is claimed that the Porsche network chargers will be displayed in the navigation "All of those sites will be displayed in Porsche's navigation systems:" and has a picture showing that.
Is that what you currently have or is that pic of a new...
20 of those cars have over 10,000 km on them. Nice to see that they commanding such high prices given the high usage!
For instance, a Turbo with 20,000 km wants $220K. Hope he gets it, that is a great price for such a used car!
My bet is that they get this data from a third party who sells to many other (non-EV) automotive, so it was not a priority for them. Not an excuse, of course, but it may be out of Porsche's hands to make changes. I expect they are pushing on that vendor to update their databases.
