When it's unticked (are the lights still wrong) - i.e. you then tick, then untick again to be safe? It's a PITA to do that every time - most of the time it's just the daylight running lights. I'll definitely do the check when at night and main beams are required.

interesting, when I took mine back in with the issue, no mention of a recall. They were able to fix it, in the dealerships words by “manually reprogramming all the TPMS sensors agin” I translate that as re-synching them back up-to the car.
