++ to you Derek, I asked the Porsche dealer selling me the car (Paris west) to retrofit ACC on it, the answer was "impossible, there's no official retrofit kit available".
So if it became available by a magic trick it would be awesome :)
Although when I see the amount of work, they might sell...
Correct, it's actually what I did, I had to "calibrate" it for a pretty long time to make sure it "understood" my various parameters, then understand what are the key takeaways etc... I use it as a data mining tool, doing the grunt work (collecting all ads/data which I defined as relevant), then...
you can use ChatGPT and help him analyse your market specifics + your personnal situation, to estimate the value your car will loose in your market.
It gives at least some idea, I put mine in example (French sorry!)
As Jasper & several people said, it's a financial & personal situation decision.
In my case I don't know if & when I'll want to have a new job, in which I'd have a personal company car (that's what I had for 25Y), so buying was the only option because I can sell it whenever I need, or keep it if...
Exactly what I felt when I drove shortly a Dec'2024 Macan EV right after the Taycan Turbo.
I wanted to make sure what was more important for me : driving or having the latest tech (coming from Xpeng G9 SUV too) : not impressed either, I wouldn't buy a Macan anyway now.
The Cayenne EV 2026 looks...
yes exactly, getting the optimized/larger battery & range of MY25 is the only "big plus" according to me that could justify going for it, but it would mean ~140K€ maybe, instead of the ~70 I'm putting in this 2020 Turbo, and besides the money mobilization even if you have it, it also means...
héhé glad you liked it, it's exactly why I posted it, I could "feel" the guy's emotions being similar to what I felt when I took the wheel.
Just my 2 cents of advice since you're saving : go for the Turbo.
In 1 week I drove a normal, then a 4S (both for ~1h), the feeling was good & very similar...
Hi everyone,
To admins : sorry in advance if this thread isn't at the right place, or if it's considered useless, then please move/remove it !
I just wanted to share this guy's video because it's pretty much everything I told myself when I first drove a Porsche in my life, few weeks ago, which...
FYI guys, the sales guy took all I shared seriously, he's handing the car to their most experienced "gold" tech guy who digs & has easy access to German HQ support.
All reassuring, should be fixed next week hopefully :)
Yes, I agree with you on that, and as you can see, despite being an "all-tech" guy (whilst being 50+ year old), I'm still choosing to buy a 2020 Taycan because everything else *but* the tech in this car is just the best I've tried.
But if there was a "cayenne EV interior" merged into the Taycan...
Hey guys,
I guess it's a matter of taste, I loved the 2 "floating" screens in my Xpeng G9 Perf (my son loved having all the latest streaming + dedicated audio on "his" passenger screen), without mentioning the near-perfect UI, driving assistances (all-in-1 packaged) etc... and I'm tech-driven...
Hey guys, just my 2 cents here when reading the price/perf ratio discussion between you & WhiteX.
In short, I'm aligned with WhiteX, but I suppose it's only because my financial resources are somehow limited at this point.
I'm not poor but I also don't have several million € in cash, which...
A bit late I guess, but I have the exact same problem, buying a used 2020 Taycan, which has coloured icons but no Android Auto, and my Porsche dealer seemed completely lost, thinking it's "normal" etc.
Already had many discussions with the community here (special thanks to Jasper4S :-) ), so...
yep, that's my next step (they have the cards in hand) : waiting at least one written reply from the sales guy, since I signed the purchase order, I want to avoid the "worst case", ie them "forcing" me to take the car as is without doing anything further.
I do hope this is not what they're...
right, but if we're talking about the Taycan's "motor sound", the tech guy from my Porsche center swore to me it is the "real" noise of the electrical engine that Porsche "amplified" (I don't know how).
Not sure if that's true, but I though the sound was pretty cool when I drove or when he did &...
