I live near the top of a decent hill with ~700 ft descent over a couple miles to get down to town. I usually charge to 85% overnight, and because of the mostly downhill ride, I actually get into town at 86%-87% before getting on the Freeway and start to eat into the battery. Does anyone know...
Just hit 4000 miles since August - only driving about 1/3 my usual due to COVID restrictions. I've had zero issues with the car - I look for every opportunity to drive.
For those that play Real Racing 3, looks like the next revision will feature a Taycan Turbo S - great to see the Taycan is being seen as a sports car in the gaming industry:

Very cool! I would love to get my hands on one of those Ferrari's just to compare against... ;-)
@manitou202 - FYI, I had my cooling seat go out as well... turned out to be a loose sensor harness right at the base of the seat that took 30 seconds for the dealer to diagnose and fix. Before...
That was exactly my point - you can do significantly more short charge cycles than large ones (or "mini-cycle"). Most Li-Ion charts I've seen show minimal degradation when the batteries are kept between 50% SOC - 85% SOC over 100,000+ cycles - it's not until you get into deep discharges (<20%...
Don't forget that every time you brake, you are putting a "charge" cycle on the battery, so total number of cycles using your home charger will be a small fraction of the total number of cycles the battery will see. The real key to battery longevity is avoid heavy discharge cycles to 0%, and...
I have a 981 Boxster S and a 4S without the rear steering. Agree with everyone's comments that the 4S is NOT a Boxster - you can tell the 4S weighs 5000 lbs! But I think you'll be fine without the rear wheel steering - the car still has an impressive turn radius even without the rear steering...
I've had my 4S for about a month now, and this last week my driver side seat cooling stopped working - it used to work, but now when I push the button to turn on the fans, it briefly lights all 3 blue bars, then goes back to gray. The passenger seat still works, just the driver side fails to...
Interesting - I've parked for weeks at a time at DIA and have never had a problem with no front license plate. Did you have another parking violation that they were writing you up for first?
Mine's on the same ship! :) I show it arriving in Houston on 8/21, and then available at the dealer here in CO on 8/28... and then I heard another couple days while they take care of all the dealer items - the wait is painful!
Since the above schedule shows it really arriving in Houston on...
In Colorado, it's "required" to have a front plate, but you'll only be ticketed for it if you park illegally. For normal traffic violations, they won't even bother (and I've had plenty of opportunities to be ticketed for it...).
You can add the Porsche of Colorado Springs (CO) to the list of dealers with no mark-up. Just had to put down $2500 deposit, but otherwise no hassles or added costs - very easy to work with. They still have a couple more allocations in March apparently (they had one if February as of last...
