Tires: Anyone using Bridgestone Turanza EV on their vehicle?

If you are following my other tire-related posts you are probably "tired" of me by now. But I am having trouble finding tires in stock at my local shop that are a good fit for the car. So I asked ChatGPT "what's the best tire for ..." and it recommends Bridgestone Turanza EV right before the...

So I bought the Michelin CC2 and I dunno - did I make a mistake

Just drove off with these and yes, I prioritized life of tire over performance as I am not an aggressive driver. But first, I felt like I am the bus driver b/c the car rides high even though I have chassis set to "lower." Then I get on the highway and woah! The car feels like it wants to bank...

    Tires - Michelin CrossClimate 2 vs PS4?

Couldn't find opinions on the forum re this, it seems all about PS4. The CrossClimate2 has tons of 5 star reviews on Discount Tire site and, as I am not an aggressive driver and have the base model, the CC2 caught my eye. But I know Discount Tire doesnt know what car I am driving, they are just...

    Tire Puncture Sealant - Expired?

Just bought this online from a reputable seller on eBay but the date on the sticker makes me think it's almost expired. It is hard as a rock, and I believe it's supposed to be fluid. I don't read German but am very suspicious I got a piece of junk here.

What is a reasonably priced tire sealant refill cartridge that will fit my MY2022?

Following my decision not to pay for the $1K 40K service. I got the cabin filter replaced on my own, now this!

    $1000+ for a 4 year visual inspection?

My brake fluid already replaced due to the recent recall. From what I can tell the only part replaced in this proposed service is an air filter. Everything else is visual check: seat belts, wipers, horn (not making this up). They check brake pads without removing the tires. I can do most of this...

Who has hit 100K miles (or 160 km) or more and is the car demonstrating typical Porsche reliability?

The Taycan is my 4th Porsche and I've always been impressed by their reliability. Drove my 944 over 100K miles and it still looked and functioned as if new. I hardly ever had to spend $ on my 911S in the 12 years I owned it. I know there are lemons out there, so am only interested to hear from...

Charging - Pls explain to me as if I am a 12-yo child

Have had this car 2+ years and always had on a night charge to 85% that I set up myself (proof I am not an idiot). Now we have solar battery and want to charge during the day. I'd like to plug it in, and have it charge immediately to 85%. Have tried to set this up but it's just not working...

New Charging Profile - what am I doing wrong?

I'm outside the honeymoon for Porsche Connect and tried to set up a daytime profile on the car. There is a night protocol already there. I deselected the night profile and added a "Day Profile" to run from noon - 6pm (this was recommended by our solar company and we thought, okay lets see how...

What's the best mode for "fuel efficiency?" What's your experience? Who has done an empirical comparison?

I try to do this but I get impatient and my results are not empirical..... It is a 101 mile drive from San Diego to LA, a drive that I make fairly often. At 100% charge, I have a thin margin of error to make it to LA, drive around the block a couple times for whatever errand, and drive home...

    Is Porsche Connect worth it?

Got an email saying my "Porsche Connect" contract is expiring. I thought that this was the free 30-min charging sessions at EA stations but the online description is quite different. Has anybody renewed this - or not - and can advise if it's worth it? I use Apple CarPlay instead of most PCM...

    Taycan: 1, Tesla: 0

We have these two EVs, my wife drives the Tesla (which to me is nothing more than an appliance). And we've both had the experience of running out of charge near our home. Both vehicles predict range, but that is not necessarily accurate and with EV's I have come to learn there is no "reserve."...

How do you find the specs on a used Taycan?

Friend of mine bought one off a lot (not a dealer). He has no idea the specs. Some specs are obvious - others are not. Is there a way to plug a VIN in somewhere to find the dealer that took possession, as they would have the specs? Other ideas? Hopefully better ideas? TIA!

"Uninstall Plug & Charge Certificate" Notification on App

Can someone please decode this for me? Can it be ignored like many of the other PCM notifications?

What is the target SoC to initiate topping up to 85% in order to optimize battery life?

I'm sure there is a best practice but all I've seen is"don't wait until its near zero."

Scared the CRAP out of me

Haven't had any scary situations in 2+ years of ownership, just the occasional unexpected loss of PCM functions. That never impacted the driving experience, so I never complained. But today I was in a left turn lane that had a curbed entry (tiny curbs to guide the car into the lane), I went...

Do brake lights illuminate during auto-regen?

I've been wondering about this for some time, like every time I get on the freeway these past 2 years. I use the auto-regen religiously and it does 90% of the work for me during bumper-to-bumper traffic. So I wonder, does the guy behind me realize I am slowing down?

Installed Tesla Universal Charger - Thanks to Daveo4EV

Just finished up installing and launching the Tesla Universal Charger, many thanks to @daveo4EV for guiding me through it. I had pretty much hijacked a thread regarding the EV charging fiasco so wanted to start afresh in case there are questions. Below is the box before I mounted the charger...
