I ordered 1 of these for my Taycan because winter clothing makes it difficult to use the seat belt. Physically it worked fine but it caused some errors on electronics on the car.
They are the same. The charger provided with the Taycan can do 110v. and 220v. just by changing the leads.. I mounted mine to the wall with a 220v.circuit.
Interesting, hadn't thought of it like that. I know the concern was for the 220v 40 amp charging, not the slower 110 v. I refer to that unit/capability as a wall charger, 220v., 40 amp.
In response to the Porsche Stop Use memo for the supplied Porsche Wall Charger I purchased a plug in version Charge Point Charger and installed that as my replacement. I sent my purchase information to the Porsche reimbursement site on March 1st and received my reimbursement check today. Nice...
Hi Martin, MIKE O'BRIEN here. I am 78 and find getting into and out of my GTS is a struggle. I am also 6'4" and 215 lbs. My biggest complaint on the car is the driver entry and exit plus the narrow seat bolsters. However, I have managed to find a method to get in and out with reasonable...
I did a bit of research as did my son. Decided on the ChargePoint Flex, plug-in variant. Purchased at Lowes used my military discount (10%). I am using it to charge my Porsche and my wife's Audi etron, which has the same recall. System seems to work fine. Nice app, somewhat simple, little...
I did purchase a ChargePoint Flex. If I turn off the car onboard charger timer the ChargePoint system takes over and provides graphic feedback charge information. This is true for my Taycan and Audi etron. If I use onboard charger timer I don't get the detailed feedback in the ChargePoint...
I don't recall Porsche asking me my recommendations for changes on any model of Porsche I've owned. Many of my suggested change would be functional or performance not visual.
In my 2023 Taycan GTS I would recommend improving entry and exit for driver, better rear camera, higher seatbelt...
I jiust went through this in Dec. Painful!I had a deep chip that could not be repaired. I got about the same quote from Safelite. Decided to go with Porsche since my car was new, 3000 miles. Porsche charged me $4,770. $2,669 for windshield, $1,624 for alignment and calibration of safety...
To me, it is a seat-of-the-pants feel of the car in tight challenging turns. It just seems so planted and so hard to disrupt the solid road connection. Steering is fairly solid with good feedback.
I have one, wish I had that discount! Awesome car, best handling Porsche I've owned and I have had many , even a recent Turbo S. Only complaints, hard for me to get in and out (6'5"-220)and seats is uncomfortable. All of that disappears as soon as I start driving. Get it, sounds like a good buy.
The cost of the replacement was:
-Windshield 901-845-099-AE-NVB. $2669.79
-Remove and install windshield $250.00
-Shop fees $62.37
-Alogn and calibrate camera systems $1624.00
-Tax $163.93
Waiting for insurance to respond to claim. I have $1000 deductible. Update when insurance comes in...
