Hi all
The button on my passenger side front seat broke off, I had posted previously about this and am still hunting for a replacement. I noticed this on eBay and was wondering if anyone had tried this solution yet ...
Well, its been missing about three weeks now! Ive turned my home upside down but can't find it.
Im assuming I get a replacement from Porsche, just wondering if anyone knows from previous experience what the time period is and cost ?
Ive been waiting seven weeks, it was supposed to happen this Monday, they called me this morning and said they dont have the parts and will contact me when they do :headbang:
Lets hope so, I will wait until next week and ask a car body repair guy I know if its suitable, I think I need a special pair of pincers with special ends to remove the stub of the old white bit from the switch without breaking the lugs that hold it in place! Nothings ever straightforward :headbang:
Late last year, my Porsche connect didn't work for six straight weeks. I thought I was missing out, but when it came up for renewal in May, I thought I would see how long I could live without it! Im still alive !
Ive tried this several times, it doesn't firmly engage. I think the square white plastic bit in the middle was part of a wider sliding component that is behind the middle bulbous bit that has snapped off.
The inner part of the button actually comes out and the cover fits over the top of it.
Can I just tag an observation on to this thread ?

But when I was on holiday in Greece last week, I was surprised to see on the google map...
Just a side note to this thread!
My Porsche connect was due for renewal last month, however, last October through November, it didn't work at all for six weeks, it was only rectified when it was in for a recall update.
I phoned connect and asked if it could be extended for six weeks because of...
