  1. The “manual” Ioniq 5 N

The older EV6 GT regen brakes at 320kw peak. This is nothing new.
  2. The “manual” Ioniq 5 N

The EV6 GT had that back in 2022 (2023 YM). I believe the HI5N uses it for both. The GT also uses dual 3-phase inverters for the rear motor, along with hairpin winding, and oil flushing the coil. This is why the EV6 GT can run up to 162mph without needing a 2-speed transmission: 21K rpm motors.
  3. The “manual” Ioniq 5 N

I will just re-post what I posted in another forum: While I was getting my ICCU SC302 update done, I walked next door to the Hyundai dealer. HI5N on display! Interior: It's not low class, it's just a different style. I like the EV6 GT's, but the HI5N is equally nice, and the vented seats are...
  4. Some first impressions of new MY2025 Taycan test drive

Was the car sitting on a black mat, or do the cameras literally just not picture that area?
  5. The “manual” Ioniq 5 N

HmG is all about fun and the experience. They're absolutely loose cannons in today's stodgy world of limiting liabilities. I really appreciate that about them. While I am not enticed by the N, most people who have driven them really like them, in their entirety.
  6. "The best EV on sale for driving fun"- Autocar tests the Ioniq 5 N

It's definitely going to be a hit. Basically a more track focused, hatch type version of the EV6 GT.
  7. Installed Michelin Pilot Sport All Season 4 21" tires on Taycan 4S -- my review & results

I've used those tires in some nasty ice storms. They are excellent.
  8. Taycan v Kia EV6 GT

I tested this theory again, and I must have misremembered, or it charges faster when warmed up (the day was 66*f) when I tried this, but it maintained about 75kw until around the high 80's/low 90's where it dropped to @50kw, and then tapered down ultimately to 11-13kw at 100%. I did not...
  9. All Season Tyres. Help please.

Looks like 18% in his test for snow braking. I said 5-15%.
  10. Taycan v Kia EV6 GT

The GT's came with preconditioning, etc. so I cannot vouch for not having it except in my Volvo C40, it was miserably slow in the cold, but EA stations also had some issues, so I am not sure where the blame should be placed, there. The GT has a different suspension setup than the Wind/GT-L, and...
  11. All Season Tyres. Help please.

I know this does not help some UK/AUS folks, as they do not have these, but the Pilot Sport All Season 4s that I ran on my Volvo C40 got me through some NASTY ice storm weather in the Ozarks. Truthfully I was stupid to have driven home, but I have animals and must feed them. The roads were so...
  12. Taycan v Kia EV6 GT

EV6 GT owner here, I still pull 100+ well past 80%. I believe it only drops to under 75kw after 90%. No obviously not in the winter, but in warm weather? Yes. Part of what I like about the EV6 GT is that it doesn't taper off. It doesn't fall on its face. It just continues to dole out hate no...
