A Toyota Prius is just not a cool car, that's all.
You own one but you also own a Ferrari, that's a combination I really don't understand so we all have things that don't seem to fit in a logical pattern.
Still, due to your "promotion" of your Prius here I look differently at it now.
Still not...
I always drive with the Sport Sound on, 6 years already.
It engages me in the driving so Porsche is right about that.
I just love the downshifting with actual rev matching, it's real sound but enhanced and underlayered unlike the new Virtual E-Shift Sound which is totally made up.
The horror!
The shifting is fake though, so is the sound.
I don't like fake.
A gearbox is there to compensate the shortcomings of an ice engine.
Why would you carry that into an EV?
It's just stupid.
I've heard the sound of the shifting and it's quite convincing.
Very well done but then again, would you wear a fake Rolex?
At least the original two-speed Sport Sound is enhanced, it's not fake.
I prefer that cuz it gives the Taycan it's unique sound and character.
I'm engaged all of the time...
I thought an illustration is welcome here.
The numbers on my front rotor.
As Dave said, these spots are used for measuring density with a carbotech tool.
It doesn't say ANYTHING about wear in general but ONLY about density.
A huge difference in density is a sign there's something wrong with the...
CCB brake rotors are not that fragile like everybody seems to believe.
The one thing you should be extra careful for is not scratching your inner wheels!
For PCCB?
I'm having real trouble finding pads for PCCB.
All other brakes are no problem though...
PS If I know the Porsche part number I may find a cross reference for the Audi e-Tron GT CCBs...
Those are Brembos, only with the infamous Porsche multiplier and their own part number.
That's why I'm interested in the part numbers for cross reference and save a SHITLOAD of money for the exact same pads.
That would be awesome!
With those numbers it's very easy to find them and be sure about the correct ones.
Many thx in advance!
I'm going to change them in 2028 though cuz then I need a new APK (MOT) and ask my dealer to reset the service interval counter after the brake fluid flush and can...
Do you already know where to find the parts? (Pads, bolts, sensors).
I'm on PCCBs as well.
I'm going to do this myself too, I'm in the Netherlands but haven't found a suitable or trusted site yet outside dealer's prices...
Thanks in advance.
Grtz Dee.
No, it isn't.
It's just the pads vibrating on a high frequency, it can even trigger the spring of the pads/sensors which will vibrate in sync as well.
Easy fix: just get the pads out and clean and "lubricate" the contact areas where the pads touch the caliper.
I'm on PCCBs too and never ever...
I think you couldn't be more wrong.
That's exactly why the rest of the world is already hopelessly behind, especially in the EV manufacturing.
In China EVs were already a thing, way before Tesla became mainstream.
