I've used Electra as well, nice Alpitronic units. I've noticed they are also installing in "Aire's" (the rest stops with minimal facilities) which I thought was a good idea, especially for fast charging cars.
I think you're right, maybe what I should say is expect to get shafted by all the dealers with resale .... let's hope the specialist begins to show an interest !
I bought a Cayman GTS from Porsche Guildford in 2016 for £56k. Kept it for 4 years, when it came to selling it they offered me £40k. I sold it to Harbour cars in Chichester for £51k.
My opinion of them as a dealer is therefore slightly different, these guys are all over you when you're...
A couple of years ago I was told by Tewksbury that they had been told they had to site chargers outside of the dealers premises to be available 24/7 (this was in response to my comment about how dumb it was to only have these chargers available in business hours. A year or so later I turn up in...
I started driving to Liguria in North West Italy from just outside London in 2008, fed up with air travel and as we always hired a car when we arrived, might as well take our own. We figure what you lose in time you make up for in convenience and less aggro. I've now done that drive (or...
Old vans belching diesel fumes and then the section past the incinerator .... you could taste the metal in your mouth ! For our American viewers, they used this area to film Apocalypse Now ... they didn't need to change much
Personally I'm loving the depreciation as it's allowing me to consider buying a car I'd otherwise not.
Surely all of this has been done many times on here and many other forums? If you are worried about depreciation stick your money in an index tracker and look at your spreadsheet. If you...
My Wife likes the Oak, I think I prefer Ice Grey .... I'm a good year away from buying so plenty of time to think about it :)
Nice finish on the house with the wood and the guttering by the way
Without wanting to give their identity away, a prominent figure in the UK EV industry is a neighbour of mine, we occasionally catch up for a chat. I asked him what was behind the negative coverage in the papers in the summer when there was a negative story or more a day appearing in the press...

top left, filter sign. select region, country etc. In "stall type" select "V4" and that will give you the stations with the new units, longer cables. Bit clunky but I couldn't find a V4 filter anywhere else.
Thanks for that, I've used Free2X Aliptronics on the autostrada on the way down from Mont Blanc to Genoa and they have been reliable, the network can be a bit patchy, that network seems absent from Frejus to Genoa via Turin (MB Tunnel being closed in Q4).
Route planner all OK then ? Just plug...
Any experience in Europe ? I'm thinking of buying a used J1.2 4S ST next year, I drive to Liguria in Italy at least twice a year, TM3 LR, obviously route planning and charging is abviously a doddle.
I've noticed an improvement in the non Tesla charging in France, Italy is a bit of a mixed bag...
I watched the first 10 minutes of that, it was full of inaccuracies so gave up. 85p for charging ? No. Access to a driveway ? 60% of properties (not vehicles) in England and higher in Scotland and Wales.
Makes for a good headline though.
3 years late, but .... not sure my wife would be that impressed with a trip to Colchester to celebrate out anniversary :) They do have a Porsche dealer though ...
Thanks very much for the detailed description, given me something to think about. My wife and I normally drive down to Italy twice a year, recently with a bit of a diversion (this year we stayed in Porec in Croatia).
I plan to sell the model 3 when I get back from Italy in a few weeks time, I...
I'm delighted your posting here, I'm considering replacing my TM3LR with another, or a performance or a 3 year old Taycan, so great to get a view from an owner of various cars.
