i installed the euro lights and while i had it all opened i connected the LIN to test for animations. there are a few testing options in piwis that may activate it, none did. doesn’t mean its not possible but it wasn’t working when i tried
hmm no i am pretty sure mine is lighting up the light on the hatch, i think it required coding and running the additional wiring. it's been a long time
try searching the forum. i have posted it here before, these are my notes. you probably dont even need to code as many of the modules, but i did mine a long time ago before i learned more about the system and didn't take before/after VALs
oh hey nice. i haven't checked my notes on the pin they discuss there but basically sounds like what we tried. Probably the 8VL "Light Strip with Illuminated "PORSCHE" Logo" coding isn't available on J1.1

it would be...
no need to buy replacement carriers, the loose metal brackets can be held tight with zipties. this is a better solution anyway since it would prevent the replacement part from coming loose later.
@Gronk thanks for sharing it, that looks like the problem. also nice that it looks like the work can be done with the seat in the car.
the carrier part number is 9J1881571.
i'll order a couple of these since both of my headrests will rattle. annoyingly there doesn't appear to be an updated...
since we are updating, i have probably had the thing hit me or someone else on the head more than 5 times since turning the beeping off.
a small price to pay for the obnoxious sound
my 11kw obc was just replaced. car went a mile to the store and then would not go out of gear when leaving the store. red electrical system error. took a few weeks to repair
