    PPF?

Just to expand with my $0.02: Yes, I think PPF is worth doing, although I only chose to do the front end, hood, and items in the airstream plus some high touch areas like the trunk sill and door handle detents. Having said that, rather than agreeing to the dealer's offer I would instead...

New Charger-related recall (for the 240 V cable) (NHTSA ID 23V-841)

I bought the same one. Works great and it's well made. I appreciate the fact that you can select varying power levels too so it comes in handy for using in places with 30A service, reduced power, or converting from other plug styles. Plus it's much more portable than the PMCC so it travels...

Porsche Reimbursement for a non-Porsche wall charger

I got my reimbursement check today too via FedEx. I purchased a J+ Booster portable on the day the rebate offer was announced. It's mountable, portable, and can be adapted to various voltages, amperages, and plug shapes. Click here for a link to the charger for anyone interested. Brent

    Magic Dock Success!

This post frustrates me. Not so much because the nearest Magic Dock-enabled Supercharger is 450 miles away but because Chargey isn't available on Android. Jealous.

Range with %85 battery for Taycan 4S Performance Plus

It's pretty consistent between 225-230 miles at 85% for me. I also have a 4S with the Performance Plus battery, and generally only drive around town in Normal mode. I just looked at the app and see this:

Car totalled. Would be very appreciative of some guidance

I've got nothing to contribute other than to say I'm sorry this happened. I hope you guys are doing well. Brent

    MY2020 - LTE Failure - update

TL;DR: My LTE stopped working and the dealership got it connected again After working faithfully for a long while, I lost my LTE connection on April 15th. I waited several weeks to see if it would miraculously recover and also tried a PCM reset to no avail. I finally made an appointment with...

    Garage Remodeling/Upgrading Feedback.

I'm a big fan of torsion bar garage door openers instead of traditional mount if your garage will support it. It's much cleaner and allows for a higher garage door retraction height and much more usable height in the parking area, which may better allow for lifts or stacking car storage. My...

No LTE (or any data related services)

Mine stopped working on 4/15. Tried PCM reset but no joy. Looks like I need to contact the dealer. Ugh.

EA Signet chargers - fluctuating charge rates and 350 kw chargers derated to 50 kw

I experienced the exact same behavior myself just last week at this station: https://www.plugshare.com/location/152884 I didn't note the hardware but it's the exact same symptoms. I'm glad it's not just me or my car I suppose.

[North America] - this is getting embarrassing - Porsche nerfing/neutering the PMCC via OTA update?

I fully expected this to be a RickRoll, so I was half right. Clever. Not helpful, but clever.

Long term Taycan owners: Are you still enjoying the car every day? Does it still feel special?

I'll weigh on on the OPs original question: I took delivery of my well optioned 4S in September of 2020 (it's a MY2020) and it's been my daily ever since. Just this week I took it on a 600 mile mini-road trip and it's as much a thrill to drive as it was on day one, it's still a looker and a...

[North America] - this is getting embarrassing - Porsche nerfing/neutering the PMCC via OTA update?

When I crossed the Drake in December is was unseasonably smooth both ways. "Drake Lake". Sunny too. I wasn't complaining!

Can't Come Quickly Enough - Porsche Partners with ABB Charging

ABB is a huge player. They're a $30B company with 100,000 employees. They make a lot of things, including assembly robots and tons of other elements for the auto industry. ABB isn't a network nor are they competition to Electrify America. ABB was one of the four suppliers of DC Fast...

Randomly looking at plugshare when not road tripping

You're not alone. I open PlugShare every week or two just to see what's new.

PEC ATL delivery then returning to CT via charging network too risky?

I did PEC ATL delivery and recommend it highly. EA can be frustrating, but the east coast EV corridor is well built out and I wouldn't hesitate to do it.

Phone holders for the Taycan - what are you using?

The USB-C chargers and the 12V cigarette-lighter socket only stay powered for 30 minutes after the car is turned off. It is not constantly powered.

    Do you have other EV's?

Both my wife and I are on our second round of EVs. Fisker Karma -> Taycan for me, and BMW i3 -> Ford F-150 Lightning for her. She's had the truck about two months now and loves it.
