  1. What's the best alternative to the Taycan?

If the Denza Z9 GT got the suspension from the Yangwang U9 then it would be a big contender for all the Turismo fans. But the last thing I heard about the Denza was that the ride is not that nice. But that was the PHEV and not the new? version with the Blade 2.0 batteries.
  2. HD Matrix lights in action

My guess is that it is based on navigation data, but I don't know how to verify this. I'd need a strip of road which was upgraded with a middle barrier which is not part of the data yet. As you turn on the get off lane (how is this called in English?) it will switch to normal mode again - which...
  3. HD Matrix lights in action

No, I bought the J1.2 directly and the loaner one J1.1 I didn't drive at night. I have a strip of road where the barrier comes up at one point and goes down again and you can see the left side clearly dimming down in the upper part when it switches to barrier mode and afterwards it coming on...
  4. HD Matrix lights in action

This is no longer an issue with HD matrix. The left side light only up as high as typical barriers here in Germany. I only got flashed at once so far on a divided road and that might have been because it was wet. I also think that the range is indeed adaptive to speed - at least it always...
  5. What's the best alternative to the Taycan?

Yangwang U9 can jumpstart with its suspension 🤣
  6. What's the best alternative to the Taycan?

I was considering the Zeekr 001 FR, but it's not available outside of China as far as I know. The normal 001 charges way too slow. Hyundai Ioniq 5 or 6 N should be pretty fun, but the ride is probably atrociously hard. It's surprising, even though everyone says the EV market is evolving...
  7. GTS Ride Quality with or without Active Ride

When watching Tyre Reviews on YouTube I get the impression, that the actual make and model of the tyre is maybe even more important than the size for steering feel. I'm probably not a reference for that - both J1.1 and J1.2 CT had as precise steering as I could wish for. In Germany I only...
  8. PCM version tracking (and their differences)

My MY25 came in September 2024 with a not mentioned version: 4338. The most notable difference for me after the update to 4360 is, that there is no way to restart the PCM anymore. With 4338 I could still do the two finger engineer mode reset thing.
  9. "Sixth Porsche Charging Lounge opens in Leonberg near Stuttgart" - Porsche News

I haven't found a provider offering less than 39 ct per kWh in Germany. So I'm not paying more. I've used many Autohöfe in the past as the 20 ct per liter markup of the Raststätten was ripoff. So I don't mind 2 minutes extra. It's not like the lounges are completely remote to the Autobahn...
  10. "Sixth Porsche Charging Lounge opens in Leonberg near Stuttgart" - Porsche News

Haven't looked in a while but in Germany I haven't seen an offering for less than 39 ct per kWh. Tesla with 400 V chargers are not an option me. The availability of cheap chargers is very regional. Norwegians are probably laughing right now.
  11. "Sixth Porsche Charging Lounge opens in Leonberg near Stuttgart" - Porsche News

I love the lounges. For me they worked very well so far. Very clean, exclusive Alpitronics, so you don't get that sharing reduction. The one in Leonberg is close to a route I drive regularly and it's become my main charger for that.
  12. An actual OTA update! .... for DC charging stability

In the PFF someone reported that the car indicated a max charging power (not plugged it) of 331 kW. Which is more than the claimed maximum of 320 kW. My car has not received the update yet so I can't speak from my experience yet.
  13. CT 4 Painted Wheel Arches and Part Numbers of Cross Turismo Turbo S

That's what I'm trying to find out. They have the same price, so I suspect you get one of the options, but so far I could not figure out what the difference is (regional maybe?). I also want to avoid having to order multiple pieces which I don't need at the end. @ze_shark thanks for the...
  14. CT 4 Painted Wheel Arches and Part Numbers of Cross Turismo Turbo S

Thank you @ze_shark for documenting this. I want to do the same for my CT facelift. But I've come across some more options for parts, which left me wondering what the difference might be. Anyone knowing what the differences are for numbers 5 and 7? I haven't found pictures and they are...
  15. New J1.2 Taycan Software Update -- New Features Detailed

Just for the record, this was already on my facelift delivered on 20th September 2024. It's a bit strange... Are they doing staggered rollouts to see if cars explode?
  16. Roadtrip from Boston to Halifax, NS - 2025 Taycan Cross Turismo

It's only made for bikes. The mounting is probably not able to take the forces of a trailer - although they made versions where you could attach a trailer.
  17. My 2025 Cross Turismo 4S build

For some the 40/20/40 split is more important than the third seat you get.
  18. Retrofit Compass?

I wish I had read that post about the neodyme messing up the compass before. It really is illegible as soon as it gets a little dark. I turned off the clock to have a degrees heading instead. At least some compass information at night available... And you have a cough at the dash and in the...
  19. My 2025 Cross Turismo 4S build

Have you had a chance to experience the sound? I had two cars at the PEC with the sound, but even on the track I turned it off. I personally really don't need the additional sound. But people are different, just something I'd consider dropping.
  20. New 2025 Taycan - the little things that are different...

The 2019 manual states that press and hold is needed for 10 kph steps. And in the direction @Jasper4S mentioned. The 2024 manual states that pressing (in the other direction like @Jasper4S correctly states) beyond the first limit will then lead to immediate increase in 10 kph steps. I haven't...
