Ok This is a little confusing :)
Maybee easier to see if it's working when the temp is hotter. It is quite cold.
I will continue to look and see. It doesn't seems to be any sure way to se if this fans are actually working now in the cold temperature. If I have understand this correct.
I walked out to the car. Try to navigate to 2 different High Power Chargers around 15 minutes from me.. Batteri on 6% wait some minutes without seeing it go up. No rotation on the fan.
Ye, but I have run 10 minutes with sport plus. Battery goes from 0 to 4 degrees. Parked the car for 45minutes. come back. Battery temp 4 degrees. Run sport plus for 10 minutes while driving. Battery still at 4 degrees. See below. 0 degrees outside. 4 degrees battery. S+
I run in Sportplus for 20 minutes, direct when I come home I checked the fans and they are not spinning. Maybee best to goto PC and have it diagnosed then?
I have Approved.
Ok, so If temperature just go up to 4 degrees after 10-15 minutes driving (from 0 degrees) it is a proof the fans are broken?
First, is fans used to spread out the heat then it would start when heating?
Mine started for some time ago with battery temp 10-14 degrees and 4-8 degrees outside. By just standing still and activate sport plus.
How cay I check in the Swedish winter (now around zero degrees) that the both fans are working properly? :)
Drove today 20km with sport plus. Battery temp goes from zero to 4 degrees after 20 minutes driving but no fans are spinning. :)
Yes its for sure that but I want go reach a better SOH totally without degrading battery.
The Porsche guide is bulletproof if you wants the best. But for me I just want a better if possible SOH without let it sit 6 hours at 0% and 6hours at 100%. But we may not ever know a middle way.
In the...
So, what is the golden way. I you want to increase SOH without degrading the battery. Sit at 0% and 100% for long time have never been good for the battery.
Suggestion:
1. Drive it down to 1-2%.
2. Direct charge to 100% slow with 5-8kW.
3. Sit at 100% some time ex 30 min
4 Drive it down to 50%...
It can be that somewhere under 2020 they updated battery revision. Therefore late 2020 can have newer upgradable batteries. When was your car produced?
that is exactly what i have been thinking of. Take this scenario.
You have 90% SOH, 3 year old car.
What SOH will you have after 4 year if you alternative 1 just do nothing, use it normal. Charge 20-70%.
alternative 2 , do a re calibration and gain up to 92% SOH and then use it normal also for...
That is a good point, come from Tesla MS world where you see much more of the battery. Especially on the top. Charging from 98-100 then takes an eternity.
(that is a indication that top buffer is low i guess)
Im mostly interested to finding a optimal procudure to do that damage the battery minimal. Staying at 100% is not good for longer times eapecially in hot temperature. But as far as I know staying at 0% is not as bad but its not good so if that is unnessesary I gladly skip it for the 6,5h
If you comparing them with pros and cons. Same money is 2023 Taycan 4s vs 2023 Tesla MS LR. Ie the Palladium update.
Tesla Pros agains Taycan:
Space, backseat for childseats and rear boot.
Infotainment
Supercharge network
Features for example campmode, senteymode
Power (but change to Taycan...
Nice reading. But, is it good or bad in long term for the battery tondo this. I learn stay at 100% for more than minutes is not good. But, will the cells be more balanced maybee it can compensate. Dont think its good to do this often but once a half-year may be ok?
Dont sit more than 6,5h on...
I come from Tesla Model S.
MS 75 2017.5 and then MS Raven 2020.5
Like the Teslas. Chose between Taycan 4s 2022 and MS Palladium LR 2023. Go for the Taycan, It was so god so Ingo up to Turbo 2020. What a car. So nice to drive. Handling is extremely good, but as you mention. Can confirm Tesla is...
