Remember, when you're doing this calibration, you don't "gain" anything.
Only the reading of the SoH/range will be more accurate.
But I doubt if this reading will stay stable over the years though...
You don't charge to 100% and you don't deplete the battery to 0% every day, right?
There will be natural degradation in that time as well.
So, I expect to see more degradation in the time after the recalibration than someone who hasn't done the recalibration.
Until you recalibrate again.

Thank you. Understood.
Normally I charge to 90 or 95% at home on a 11kwh charger. I never drive it to 0%....usually I charge it quick quickly as I generally want full power.
So maybe it is time for the tuning afterall :) (oops other topic)

Yes, equal around 4,20 V is always good.
This is mine:

Monday the car goes in for the battery recall ARA4 and brake hoses.
Battery recall?? Did U receive the letter? I haven't seen any (also the Netherlands).
Yours is even above 4.2 cell voltage!

Yes, in oktober last year.
Now the parts are all there.
I mean ARA4?...break hoses were done here some months back.
Nothing came in here via mail/app on the battery....but perhaps no reason if Porsche checks this remotely.

that is exactly what i have been thinking of. Take this scenario.
You have 90% SOH, 3 year old car.
What SOH will you have after 4 year if you alternative 1 just do nothing, use it normal. Charge 20-70%.
alternative 2 , do a re calibration and gain up to 92% SOH and then use it normal also for one year.

will the SOH be the same? So we just push SOH up fore some month? ;)

This is interresting. From which SoC was it charged up to 100% SoC?
I might try this as well.
Rik gained SoH from just charging to 100% and letting it sit.
I tried that Out as well with intersting Results:

After letting it sit:
Porsche Taycan How-to Recalibrate your SoH. 1000047039

Porsche Taycan How-to Recalibrate your SoH. 1000047041

Almost charged up, before letting it sit:
Porsche Taycan How-to Recalibrate your SoH. 1000046966

Porsche Taycan How-to Recalibrate your SoH. 1000046964

SoH didn't change, but Battery Energy and SoC did quite a bit. As you can see in the cell voltages the cells are basically at the same level before and after, so there was no power consumption in the 7h I let it sit.

Note that when the car is switched off, the network and several control modules are still active, that draws current.
After 20 minutes the car goes into sleepmode and doesn't draw that much current from the battery.
At that time, the reading of the SoC is more accurate.
Same during vs after charging.

It's all about allowing the cells to rebalance and that happens at high SoC not low.

So, what is the golden way. I you want to increase SOH without degrading the battery. Sit at 0% and 100% for long time have never been good for the battery.
Suggestion:
1. Drive it down to 1-2%.
2. Direct charge to 100% slow with 5-8kW.
3. Sit at 100% some time ex 30 min
4 Drive it down to 50%
Ready

Is this enought? :)

Here is a document from Porsche about this to their workshops.

These instructions are what is used at the dealers, so should be quite safe

Yes its for sure that but I want go reach a better SOH totally without degrading battery.
The Porsche guide is bulletproof if you wants the best. But for me I just want a better if possible SOH without let it sit 6 hours at 0% and 6hours at 100%. But we may not ever know a middle way.
In the other thread that is at top here. The one where we register SOH ower time have lots os owner increase SOH with going down, slow up, down and up a little. Maybe it is nearly as good. But perhaps hard to know :)

Hi,

I did the full recalibration driving slow for at least 2h and 200km to 0% and 0 kWh in battery energy, let it sit for the night, charged it up to 100% and again sit for the night.
The SOH actually went down a bit but the SOC is more accurate now in this cold weather.

I have some questions about the data that we see in car scanner.

Here is my data at 0%

Porsche Taycan How-to Recalibrate your SoH. 1737533800659-9j

And at 100%

Porsche Taycan How-to Recalibrate your SoH. 1737533944442-fk

and after the night

Porsche Taycan How-to Recalibrate your SoH. 1737533982004-vu

What is the meaning of those values?

Battery energy 76kWh Why not 83.7 kWh?

SOC HR 97.65. And why is it sometimes above the display SOC sometimes under it?
