Porsche should learn from Ferrari. Luce is so different from all Ferraris that it clearly targets different audience. It's a 5 door Ferrari. Market for that car are tech influencers and rich tech giants. There's plenty of people these days who can cash out 600.000€ for a car, as long as it does...
IMHO, the interrior has a great direction. Steering wheel is all the input, and cluster is all the output. Side screen can provide additional info. I like that. Few details are not to my liking.
Exterior is odd for sure. I'm interested to see what they did driving-wise. There is a lot of...
They won't release 718 EV and new/refreshed Taycan in the same year; they are overlaping . I suspect we will see 718 this year and new refreshed/special Taycan next year with new interior, not just the PCM. And the real new Taycan I suspect in 2029/30 or so, merged with Panamera, 1000V, SPP based.
World and Porsche were quite different when they got into this project (pre-covid). Even then they weren't sure what to do with Bugatti. It's good that they are focusing on Porsche only and actually making money on this transaction. As far as I understand, 911 t-hybrid will keep getting Rimac's...
Correct. Cells in batteries degrade over time. There is no way out of this with current technology. However, they degrade less and less over time. So, it unlikely that in 20 years battery will drop bellow 50% of SoH (or bellow 60% in 15 years).
If a non wear and tear defect happens in those 15...
It is covered. I admit, it leaves a lot of room for Porsche to get out of obligation. However, it is covered. This has been updated a year or so ago. I think when Macan came out.
Mobile Connect can do power load management and supports EEBus connetion to any kind of Home Energy Management System (HEMS; you don't have to buy Porsche's). It does vehicle reconition and therefore can communicate to HEMS which car is connected so that appropriete charging profile can be...
It's called Mobile Connect because it can be moved to another location. However, it should really be used as a wallbox-type of EVSE. It's a quite feature rich EVSE.
I'll reserve my judgment for when 718 comes, but so far I'm not impressed by what I was told is coming. Fake reving? New fake sounds? Why? I do however think there's an opportunity here to make something great. I would like to be able to control max torque and some audible feedback would be...
There is no misconception. Faults are covered by warranty. Wear and tear is not. Same as brake pads or refrigerants or filters, etc. They degrade by time, but they should not fail. It's a standard Porsche warranty. HV battery until 2025 was *not* covered by extented warranty at all. That has...
Warranty conditions have changed recently (less than a year ago). They did not include battery until just recently. However, I agree with you. Warranty does not cover wear and tear, including wear and tear for HV battery. This leaves room for confusion, but at least it's a step in the right...
"The Porsche Approved Warranty covers technical defects in all parts of the following components: engine | fuel and cooling system | drivetrain and transmission | suspension and steering | braking system | heating and air conditioning | electrical system | bodywork | xenon and LED lights |...
What I missed in my old 4S was ability to turn off front wheels, so I went with RWD next. I go into snown covered mountines with it, no problem at all. I do not miss 4x4, but you do have to take reality into account. Foot off the gas in corners, unless you want to drift.
