Switzerland Specific - LTE GSM and WiFi in Garage

Presumably the gain on an external repeater for a drone is multiples of the gain on 500m2 indoor repeater. Especially one inside a Faraday cage!?

Switzerland Specific - LTE GSM and WiFi in Garage

7k is for an official repeater registered with BAKOM and the swiss network providers. 3k for the sparky. Feeling "switzerlanded"

Switzerland Specific - LTE GSM and WiFi in Garage

Hi Our new garage, shared with 5 owners 10 cars, is a real Faraday cage, and has zero LTE GSM signal. We can get WiFi coverage cheaply tapping off existing communal data contract and router and I believe this would give us VoWiFi or WiFi-Calling inward and outward on our handsets, but...

EU/UK: Ongoing navigation issues [Solved with PCM v3892]

EU/UK: Ongoing navigation issues [Solved with PCM v3892]

Over on the German PFF.de site, user jenne71 just posted this, a response from a board member of Car-IT https://www.pff.de/thread/2830829-navi-haengt-sich-auf/?postID=156445443#post156445443 TLDR is a software conflict in navi which is happening more frequently due increasing number of...

EU/UK: Ongoing navigation issues [Solved with PCM v3892]

LOL a year ago when I moved to from a 2014 991.1 Carrera (model launched 2011) and PCM 3.0, I thought I'd arrived in PCM heaven with my MY24 Taycan.... now not so much. LOL

EU/UK: Ongoing navigation issues [Solved with PCM v3892]

Great post! We have all become used to device apps which get weekly updates and major upgrades in UX and functionality. Add in increasing frequency of AI or at least improved predictive logic in our typing, searching etc and the whole PCM experience has become prehistoric. The hardware...

EU/UK: Ongoing navigation issues [Solved with PCM v3892]

Service manager at PZ Zug was still saying this is solution 18 December when I had mine done. Strange. It also seems to have fixed my crashes.

EU/UK: Ongoing navigation issues [Solved with PCM v3892]

The whole charge planning experience is very frustrating, especially when it just ignores and overwrites any preferred or favourite charging stops you send to the car after a careful route plan on the app, or when you want to tweak the suggestion on the fly and it shows you charging stops that...

EU/UK: Ongoing navigation issues [Solved with PCM v3892]

It fixed mine as far as I can tell so far.. no crashes even with Porsche Charging Planner active, whereas prior it crashes every few minutes

Taycan navigation issue: Navigation restarts randomly.

They are my AD too. The service team seem aware of the issue. The service manager said he'd just got another phone call for the same issue when I went to pick it up. They also did a 12v battery service notice item.

Taycan navigation issue: Navigation restarts randomly.

As an immediate fix switching off the Porsche Charging Planner option stopped the crashes. Since my AD upgraded PCM to 3885 and Navi to 12.2025 the crashes seem to have stopped even with that option activated. YMMV

ABS, PSM and Rear Steering Warnings? Went away again on next start.

Problem started occuring daily, but then going away again after the car had stood for a while. I went to the dealer, while it was "behaving", they said the ODB was not showing any active fault(s) and did a reboot of the car. About 10km later the warnings went on again, this happened the next...

Is rear axle steering a must?

In Europe with tight roads, car parks etc I would add to the "must have" voices. Even though the turning circle is marginally wider, it feels almost more nimble than my 991.1 carrera was.

ABS, PSM and Rear Steering Warnings? Went away again on next start.

So my home street is quite narrow and winding and there is a wide bus that goes up and down it, and today I had to pull over fairly sharpish onto a very low curb to let it by. Nothing approaching ABS or emergency stop territory and no clunks or bumps. The ABS+PSM and Rear Stearing orange warning...

    Seat Memory with Comfort Option

This is part of what had me confused, because when Im wanting to put the driver seat forward for the back seats I of course just reach in to the open door.

    Seat Memory with Comfort Option

Thats a great hack for an extra programmable button. What else can be toggled this way... I guess Im going to have to work through the byzantine key vs button comfort logic.

    Seat Memory with Comfort Option

Ah OK. Makes sense. I knew I was having a brainfart. As a hack having a continuous range between relaxed cruise in M1 and a bit higher and more upright city/ manoeuvre M2 mode is quite nice.
