I use the car for work trips and as a daily to the office, plus social when the TVR doesn’t want to play ball.
It gets used in all modes, but I try and get into sports plus before I mash the carpet.
It’s not the standstill bit that’s shocking. It’s the relentless pull until 165+. The only...
While in your example, you may be correct, it isn’t a blanket statement that it’s cheaper to tune conventional engined car. I have a TVR Cerbera, originally at 400bhp, now running circa 600bhp but probably cost at least 3x a mapEV tune. I don’t know the exact figure because I was frightened to...
Hi, I have a 4S up in Lincoln. I have had the mapEV for 4 months now, and it’s worth every penny. My car has been back to the dealers for a recall, so I’ve had 2 weeks of standard again, and it’s so slow. Putting the modded box back in this weekend and can’t wait.
I have 2, one for each side, MagSafe generic rubber pad things that I bought from Amazon/ebay, double sided tape, stuck down in the useless cubby, cables routed to rear usb c ports. I’ll try and find the link, failing that I’ll get a picture
Well I got it back, 3885 installed and it survived the 30 mile trip home without any faults. So we will see what happens.
It has to go back next week as it has a ride height sensor recall and no parts in the uk 🤷🏻♂️🤦♂️
So my MY20 4S goes in tomorrow for some cosmetic repairs and software fixes. I have a rebooting nav and freezing boot PCM. The service manager has told me the update to 3885 will fix the freezing boot (Porsche logo) but there is no known fix for the rebooting nav. She said Porsche knows about...
And old cars where the engines blew up or bodywork that rusted through, this will be the new obsolescence of modern cars to get new ones and scrap the old ones
I’ve read some of this thread and picked up lack of memory as a possible cause. I did my own testing and whilst not foolproof, I find Nav resets way less frequently if I have the Google satellite view turned off. I also found lack of data signal does weird things to it too, when the online radio...
Yeah, I'm considering a subscription as i travel with work also and do at least 1 full charge a month, sometimes many, at public chargers, so from my calculations, its worth getting.
Thinking of getting the Porsche one for UK chargers and the charging lounge you went to, and it's only £20 more...
Ah ha, Porsche Charging Taycan is way cheaper than standard or plus, but only available for the first 3 years. My car is 5 years old so I either stick at the free one of 69p or pay Porsche subscription of 13.99 and get it at 59p or pay IONITY subscription of 10.99 and get it for 43p
You must be on something different to me. Not sure if it’s different because my car is second hand?
I don’t pay a monthly subscription and am charged 69p/kwh inc vat at Porsche and IONITY. If I pay £13.99 a month, it reduces to 59p/kwh inc vat. My blocking fee is only 20p/min after 60mins...
Awesome. I will be going to ARC1950 in April with my 4S, going to see if i can get the lounge in my route too, looks fab. Do you pay the Porsche subscription to get Ionity rates that low? I was looking to get the Ionity power subscription as the rate is so cheap, I currently have the free...
I only know this because I didn’t know what the fobs were for, left them in the glovebox, (for the first 2 months of ownership) and found out what happens when you take them out and drive off without them 🤣
