I just had my 2 year maintenance, which includes brake maintenance. The squeaking is gone. They apparently grease all the moving parts etc. I was told that that the squeaking is because the brakes aren’t engaged very much (most braking is by the motors). I have read elsewhere a suggestion to...
I also have my car serviced at Porsche Center Vancouver and my experience has been similar. The service advisor is great, however it takes forever to get an appointment and they never have replacement cars. Replacement parts come from Germany and that takes a long time. I recently booked an...
I agree. Porsche is notoriously secretive with regard to their dealers. Don‘t even allow them to store major software updates on site at the dealer. Every upgrade is downloaded directly to your car from Germany, which is why they often take so long and flake out.
Yup. Mine was working, then stopped yesterday. The old app does work for me. The VW CEO was terminated a few days ago, reportedly because of major problems with software development at VW, Porsche, Audi. I can believe that! These guys are still learning how to be a software company in addition...
250-260 for me. However, I find that the range number bounced around as the Porsche software tries to guesstimate. I just returned from a 1700Km (1,062 mi) trip from the Pacific to the Rockies and back. Averaged right around 5KM per KwHr (3.125 mi/KwHr) which means around 400Km actual. Driving...
I am in the Vancouver area and have 16,000 km on my Turbo From winter and summer driving. You should be getting 400km+ with reasonable driving. 4.5 to 5.0 km per KWh.
Yup. It will all slide off and the car is toasty warm to drive. For those in warmer climates, the Taycan is excellent in the snow (AWD, big snow tires, heavy and low center of gravity).
I charge to 85% as recommended in the manual, and usually re-charge at 15-20%. I only charge to 100% immediately before long road trips (using a timer and pre-heat/cool for optimum range).
A ran a “know my car” experiment, driving it down to 1% SOC (near my home, in Range mode). What I found was that in the last 50 Km the battery has more range than it shows - at least 10% more. In other words, the Porsche software has a built in conservatism factor. And it seemed very...
