You will need the Electrify Canada app, bot you should call them re free charging. I am told that we Canadians don’t get free EA charging, so the reverse may apply to you.
No, mine is a squeal while driving and seems to go away with breaking. It is not the same as yours which seems to happen when you apply the brakes coming to a stop. You are correct, an expensive car like this shouldn’t have that sound from brakes!
My car was in for a speaker replacement last week and I put the squeaking noise on the list. The dealer has sold lots of Taycans and said this issue has been reported by other cars. They think it is in the motor and seems to show up in very hot weather. Other than that, no fix known. But it’s...
I find Active Lane Keeping to be inconsistent and I wouldn‘t pay for it if I was ordering again. Innodrive has some strange behaviours and I don’t use mine. The Adaptive Cruise Control is good. From my perspective one buys a Porsche to drive if rather than have a computer do it!
You are a charger expert now! Thanks for your interesting posts. My recent 2,000 km trip in the same region reduced my range anxiety, showing that the Taycan performs consistently. The challenge is to know where the working chargers are located (ideally DC Fast). Then you drive to a low SOC...
I had problems at the Petro Canada chargers in Hope on Sunday. The session would start, then abruptly stop after a few minutes. Both chargers did the same thing. Also had that issue in Golden BC a few days prior. Any other Canadians watching this thread have issues with Petro Canada?
This post will be of interest primarily to Taycan owners in BC and Alberta (and other car geeks), mainly around car performance and charging. I just returned from a loop road trip from Vancouver to the Rockies (with wife, golf clubs and luggage in the car).
Day 1 - Vancouver to Shuswap…440km...
Where did you charge between Kamloops and Jasper? I am heading to Jasper next week on the same route you took. I recently took a trip to Vernon and found that PIRM was quite accurate, but was conservative. I was driving mainly in range mode and with cruise control, 10% over the speed limit. I...
I use this same process. I use ABRP to scope the trip, then Porsche NAV in the car. When driving I found the PIRM to be very accurate, biased a little on the conservative side. On longer trips where I will need to stop to charge, I usually drive in range mode with cruise control which seems to...
