Porsche extended warranty inspection- whats your experiences? High miles would you bother?

@Nickj - Here is one way to think of your situation: You drove a Taycan for five years, essentially for free. That's amazing! Now you have a chance to keep enjoying your Taycan for three more years with financial peace of mind for a mere £378, plus £3080. For perspective, I've paid £7,245...

    Is this OEM PPF?

@pjg03d Redwood City Porsche here in the San Francisco Bay area, a high volume dealer, outsources PPF application. My understanding from this dealer, is that PPF is typically not done by dealers themselves, but done under contract with local providers. Those providers may be offered a bay at...

Rear Ended - Repair Complete. $34,000

Good questions, @snstevens. (bill reattached here in a different format) Why was the Rear Window replaced? That was the highest Time item on the list. The window wasn't replaced. It was removed and replaced to accommodate the repair and painting of the entire rear bodice. They also R&R'd...

Rear Ended - Repair Complete. $34,000

Just a matter of potential interest to some. I was rear-ended in a three-car pile-up (Northbound on HW 101 in Mountainview, CA) on December 18, 2204. No one was injured. The at-fault car was totaled, as was the next car in line. Mine was the last to be impacted and suffered relatively minor...

    Microfiber towel care

Wow. Impressive regimen, @Mr.Smith. Did you accidentally discover that the towels became hydrophobic over time without using a water-vinegar mixture? I find microfiber to be not very hydrophilic to start with, so I'd be thrilled to find out vinegar improves the wicking and absorption of...

How reliable (or unreliable) are these cars.... really ?!?

Best car I've ever owned. Three years tomorrow. Never unreliable and has only been to the shop for Porsche updates or recalls. Long multi-hour drives or just a couple of clicks it's fantastic to drive. My wife (as a passenger) still spuriously says, "I love this car."

    Pano glass crack

Thanks, @Tucson_Jim. I have pitting on my windshield and have been wondering if windshield PPF actualy works. Yesterday I watched a startup pitch its new windshield PPF technology. Sounded pretty attractive compared with what's on the market today. I should have asked for wiper scratch data. I...

Red Circle of Death - Round 2 - Anyone getting compensated?

@GoodToBePhil - I had a Ford with persistent maintenance issues after purchase. I successfully exercised the Lemon Law (in Wisconsin) and received a replacement vehicle. Details vary by state. In California, for example, the manufacturer, or its representative in California, may be required...
