If anyone cares, I think I tracked down the email of PCNA president (no thanks to Porsche!): [email protected]
Sadly he also failed to respond in any way (I was willing to hear "we don't issue partial refunds" BUT got no (zero) response).
Now I am doubly depressed...Porsche has truly gone...
Which makes absolute sense when you think about it: battery out of warranty and, if it fails, the cost to replace it wildly exceeds the car's value.....statistically that may not be highly likely .... but it's a real fear that drives this kind of depreciation.
How is this fixed? longer battery...
A 4 year old car that has 4 years left on a battery warranty is, I suspect, still going to see significant depreciation. Yes, the biggest hit may have occurred, but it is very scary to buy an electric car with a vanishing battery warranty

I have had pretty good experience with the Car Scanner app (https://www.carscanner.info/) combined with an OBD dongle such as Vgate vLinker (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B088LW211V?ref_=ppx_hzsearch_conn_dt_b_fed_asin_title_4&th=1)
A search in this forum will give you some good info inc. other options
That may technically be true but my Porsche issued CPO covered every problem the car had (and there were plenty!) beyond the 4 year factory warranty. What would a CPO NOT cover that a factory warranty would?
The dealer can supply but the official Porsche SOH procedure is very time consuming (and expensive)..if that is not a good option, a scanner app can provide SOH and that SOH "should" be a good approximation.
A 22 w/ a CPO should mean that it has a factory warranty until 2028 (check it; that is very important; these cars can be extremely expensive to repair).
If you intend to keep beyond 2028, budget for (expensive) car insurance.
The battery, btw, is out of warranty in 2030 and replacement, if...
I am hopeful that your (well articulated) optimism is accurate. And I think it will be (the optimist in ME).
BUT
I keep thinking about the saying: "what is a pessimist? an optimist with experience!"
Time will tell.
You may have found a good dealer and/or be aided by California's relatively high adoption rate for EVs.
Ultimately the EV is going to win. I used to think all it would take is more chargers. But I have come to realize that service has to adapt too. More Techs. Less dealer resistance. More...
I've owned Porsches back to the 356. I have loved Porsches. I even loved my Taycan for many years - but gave up on it recently. I am fed up with dealer service AND fed up on Porsche's declining responsiveness and quality.
Symbolic of the situation is the fact that PCNA customer service has...
My (just sold) 2021 with 18K miles measured at 85% (via my own testing)..That was a little concerning but borderline acceptable...just sold it so no longer a worry
