After reading many of your posts, I ended up purchasing a 108-month, (5 year), 60,000-mile, $100 deductible VSP plan from Kelli Parker ([email protected]) of Porsche San Antonio for $4,961. My 2021 4S had 19,525 miles at the time of purchase.
Interesting to see that the price is...
So this morning I checked the MYporsche app to see the current state of the battery charge, and was surprised to see, once again, that the car was in privacy mode and could not give me that info. Puzzled, I went to the garage, got in the car and no start. Instead I got a screen that asked for...
I got a mailed letter for the same thing, after my account suddenly disappeared from the car and put me in Guest mode. Not sure how that happened except I know I did not do it. Anyway, I found that the car would stay in Guest mode until I got my account back and connected to a credit card.
Now...
Interesting reading. Mine is a 21 4S that I plan to keep until it dies. I know I will never "break even" but I knew that up front. I love my car, and my annual mileage is down to about 3500 miles a year and I am getting up in years so the car may well outlast me lol. I have solar panels at home...
About a week ago, my account in my car disappeared and I had to sign in as a guest. Yesterday, I thought I would reset the account using the original details. Used the tile for account login, and filled out the data as I had used before, then got a different page with a QR code which took me to...
I read something recently about a class action lawsuit that has already been filed over the HV batteries.

I agree on the Cayman EV, but prices from what I have read will be as much or more than the Taycan, and if they won't take the Taycan in a trade, I will probably just run it til it dies.
Forgive me for being ignortant, again lol, but when VW spinned off Porsche, it no longer is owned by VW, only the "new" investors and the Porsche familes et al. It has no corp link to VW, and when it went public, all I got based on my shares of VW was a few lousy dollars instead of Porsche...
Wild assed guess, check to be SURE your NAV is off so the car does not think it has already arrived home and won't charge. Happened to me and a few others.
Followup FWIW:
After charging the car twice since the nag first popped up, it has finally disappeared, hopefully never to be seen again, and I can skip that visit to the dealer. Any changes, I will report back for the record. This was noted after last nights charge.
Getting a nag for this last 2 days. Reset did not clear it, but can clear it with steering wheel buttons, until next startup lol. Since it appears to be as stated : "emergency call", and would likely require some time to get at it, I think it can wait until I have more issues as I have spent...
Don't judge your mileage by the guessometer. Use the actual milage from the odometer. They will not match. I routinely get 275 miles at 85%, but actual miles per odometer shows 240-250.
Bought the Tesla Level 3 universal last year. Got my check to day for $588 reimbursement! Thanks Porsche! Not worried about the Tesla format (plug) in future as I will be keeping my Taycan for a few more years, or get an adapter.
Wonder how NEO is able to replace a battery pack in 15 minutes? Someone needs to learn a lesson here. As to the evse supply cable, my letter said go out and buy one for $600 or less and send us the bill. Did that, now waiting on a check in the mail lol.
Mine (Tampa)told me to bring in the evse as all they needed to do was put a warning label on it (base unit which they cannot downgrade to 20 amps with software). Be nice to be offered a $750 credit like @enzo5000 mentioned, as I already have a Tesla Gen 3.
