Very envious of your spec. Personally RS Spyders. White dial looks fine with chalk and to be hoest very hard to differentiate from 'true' chalk IMHO. Personally prefer 18 way seats and seat ventilation. Have you seen the Volcano grey in the metal? It is a very dark grey...
Thus far, zero issues. I had a 2021 4S sedan which threw up error messages every few weeks (but never stopped working) and had lots of recalls. In comparsion 2025 J1.2 just routine service and one new tyre for pothole damage.
New car looks amazing and totally agree on all your comments on the updates. Interesting that you were not impressed with the Burmester: have you tried adjusting settings to boost the base?
Having had a 'forced' switch to J1.2, for me the pluses have been:
1. Much better range - really just do not think about it now
2. Soft close doors
3. Electric charge port standard
4. Even better headlights (I have LEDs)
5. More stable PCM with far fewer random error messages
6. Even better...

I have had experience with 3 companies in the Lower North Shore area. Only one I would recommend is Bacha & Co in Willoughby (M 0419 499 762, www.bachaco.com). Very high quality, very helpful but they are not cheap!
I retrofitted the 22kW on my J1.1 - it did help a little but not as much as I has expected. I enquired on this option for my new J1.2 and was told "not available" as it was "not needed due to all the battery/powertrain improvements in the new model".
Have always wanted Burnmester but very rare option in Australia so have never experienced.
Yes, opened door but did not have the chance to exit car. Maybe I feel better now that Park should have engaged.
It was all over in 1.5 seconds so hard to be precise. I think I did not completely engage Park when I went to leave the car (I pressed button but obviously not hard enough) and as I was trying to exit must have pressed on accelerator. Much as I would prefer to blame the car/electronics/design I...
I plan too! I still really love the Taycan - performance, the quiet environment and the quality.
Had two hire cars whilst waiting (Nissan, Mazda) and really they were seriously terrible. I know it is a first world problem but would not want to have to drive this type of car every day unless...
Had a series 1 2020 4S. Was bought off the floor from local dealer with no choice on spec but as one of the first batch of cars was highly optioned and a beautiful car. Really loved the colour (Crayon/Chalk) and had no real performance/maintenance issues other than all the recalls. For me only...
I had the brakes and passenger heater recall done in September and was give a new white RWD loaner. In terms of looks prefer first generation. I was also surprised by the RWD performance - definitely slower than 4S, but livable with for city driving. The real revelation, however, was the...
Great update. I am just past the 3 year stage. Currently 28,000KM and just had year 3 service.
Still loving the car and the colour. Have perhaps been lucky and had no major dramas. Occasional software glitches but only item that has failed was an A/C sensor replaced under warranty.
In general...
