I have a 2020 Taycan Turbo with the 400 volt 150 kW option and have never been able to charge successfully at a Tesla supercharger. I have tried both the Tesla app and the Porsche app to initiate the charge. In both cases, charging tries to start but then quits with an error. I am using the...
Just to follow up on my original post, here is how things turned out. The car was taken by flatbed to the dealer, but by the time they looked at the car the next day, the error had cleared. Presumably the clutch released on its own. They found a bunch of inactive transmission faults that they...
Thanks for all the info. But i am asking if anyone in the forum has experienced this problem and if they were able to fix it. I tried the repeated accelerations but no luck.
Has anyone gotten this transmission error? If yes, what is the fix? My Taycan throws this error at about 35 mph and it seems like the car is only using first gear and can’t get into second gear. The car is currently at the dealer so I will be able to report back on the cause and fix of the...
I have the same problem with my 2020 Turbo. I think we need a software update from Tesla for their super chargers. I can start the charge using the Porsche app and it always looks like it will work. But then it errors out after a few seconds. I wish we knew why it works for some Taycans but...
Yes the stations are listed in the Tesla App for charging other EVs. And at one station, there was another non-Tesla charging with an adapter. Payment information is entered correctly, and I selected the correct charger. I can’t prove that the adapter is working unless i find someone willing...
My heater failed this morning. This will be the fifth new heater for my Taycan. And the car is not quite 6 years old. Not a great track record.
does anyone know what a new heater costs? I’m worried about what happens when my CPO warranty ends in June of 2026.
I recently purchased the NACS to CCS adapter from Suncoast parts. I tried it with two supercharger locations in Michigan (Portage and Battle Creek) but neither one worked. I got an error message each time and I tried two different chargers at each station. Is there any reason tor think that...
This has happened to me about twice per year. But it always goes away after turning off the car and restarting it. If your warning persists, it may require a visit to the dealer.
Generally speaking, on my Taycan, it takes three pushes of the icon to get the fluid to squirt on the camera lens. I think the washer fluid leaks out of the line running from the washer reservoir in the frunk. And then it takes a couple of pushes on the icon to get the line primed up again.
After my third heater replacement (I am now on my fourth heater), my dealer left a whole shopping bag of swag on the passenger seat. I would actually just prefer a working heater! But it was a nice gesture.
What is the part number of the new heater? My heater was replaced on December 20, 2021 with part number 9J1963507D. Then on February 22, 2023 it was replaced with part number PAD963507. I thought that this second part was the new one that had been fixed. Apparently not.
I am on my third heater (2020 Taycan Turbo) and it just went out. That’s three heaters that failed in the three winters since I bought the car in May 2021. I wish there was a permanent fix for this.
My charger is starting to act up too. I’ve had two overnight charging sessions recently that did not complete within 7 hours (for less than 70% change in SOC). My charger received a software update on April 26. I wonder if that is the problem? My charger also worked perfectly last summer...
Is there any update on this issue? My rear window defroster button is doing the same thing. (Turns orange and then immediately turns white.) Outside temps are around 20 F.
I wish they would discuss where they charged and how long they spent charging. Not sure that there are any fast chargers in the UP and northern Wisconsin. If they were using level 2 chargers, was that time included in their trip time?
I had exactly the same problem in early December. While one of the two closest Porsche dealers was booked until mid-January, I was able to get in at the second dealer in only a few days. They gave me a loaner Macan while they had my Taycan. It took them about a day to diagnose the problem...
