Cheap mod for Aero S wheels

Some stickers on the wheels would be used to avoid a claim? Lmao.. this world..

    Excessive tyre wear.

I remember reading on the forum that the uneven tire wear is especially bad when using lowest suspension setting (ie range mode or sport plus) above ~90km/h. Others may know more detail. With a cat onboard instead of a dog, there are no issues ofcourse.

    High Voltage Battery Recall EXPANDED - ARB6 & ARB7

Trip down memory lane with all the recalls and scandals here... Almost worth a separate topic… Back ontopic: Interested to see when the rest of Europe picks this up. If the brake recall is any reference, we will get the letter in the Netherlands late, but the actual fix more quickly than most.

    Mold inside rear light

I have the same, but it looks like it is just on the outer edge and not inside the light unit. So it looks the seal is actually a bit into the unit and not on the very edge if that makes sense. Replacement is a fools errant and wastefull as it will inevitably come back (quickly) if that is...

How to set up keys for husband and wife drivers

I think the key even stops sending signals when it is not moving for something like 15 seconds. Holding lock and unlock does the same. Meaning that the car will not notice a key present. Its not that the car will not allow easy acces or port opening. Easy acces and port opening, as well as the...

How to set up keys for husband and wife drivers

That’s the idea yeah. It stops the transmission of signals. Note that it can be turned back on by pressing unlock.

How to set up keys for husband and wife drivers

@Gino If you press and hold lock and unlock at the same time the key goes into wash mode, at least thats what I call it. It is basically off. The red light around the crest lights up to confirm. Note that easy acces will not work ofc. Is that what you are looking for?

"Don't drive an EV in [or to] Los Angeles unless you can charge at home" - Kyle video

Central LA seems not perfect for EV visitors. In Europe the supercharger network works just fine for other brands. It seems Tesla setup in Murica has a funnny retardation..

    Acceleration - 2021 4S Cross vs 2024 GTS

Driving in sport plus messes up the wheel alignment, if you use it often and above 90km/h it will cause premature (uneven) wear on the tires. I would go as far as severe damage. Check multiple threads on the forum (and even the car’s manual) on this. Just so you know.

    Steering wheel creaking

haha thanks. I have the rattle in either position. It is almost never in the forward position. It also functions a bit crappy, I have to press the button few times for it to adjust. Will ask about it when it goes to dealer for the brakes later this month.

I painted my Mission E wheels white.

Interesting mod. Not my taste, but still interesting. Cool you did a lot yourself and avoided damage. Kudo’s! How are they in real life? from the photo’s I see quite a significant color difference compared to body color (Carrera metallic?).

Thinking of trading my 2022 Taycan for a 2024 Macan

To me it reads as if the reasons you contemplate a trade is for things you do not want. Legitimate as those reasons may or may not be, what is it that you do want? A car that is enjoyable to drive? Or practical? Or both? What about looks? Cost is always a consideration. How many miles do you...

Is this kit/paint factory? Or aftermarket ?

The color match seems spot on, so thats great. And yeah, pictures can sometimes exaggerate very minor flaws. Doubt anyone will notice. But even then, if it looks good to YOU, just rock it! Cool unique car?, enjoy it?

Is this kit/paint factory? Or aftermarket ?

Looks like a cross turismo with the plastic trim painted in body colour? I suspect the trim could be cosmetic and not because of a crash or damage. Original coarse black plastic trim looks horrible to some. I am usually not a big fan either, but given this paintjob (def not factory imho), I...

    Upgrading from MY20 4S to MY25 Turbo

Congrats on the new car! I find it convenient to have sport sound on the second customizable button. I use it mainly to disable when I want ultimate quietness, and activate when entering a city or area with pedestrians, makes the car a bit more noticeable and thus safer.

    Steering wheel creaking

And the headrest rattle? I have that as well. Pretty annoying. Although it makes me stop accellerating, so might save my licence one day. Great to at least know the solution just so I can fix it if I choose to.

    Creaky steering wheel!

Some cars have this or develop over time. I have driven a few different taycans from most production years (2020/2021/2022/2023) in different specs and all had it to some extent. Cheekily squeezed some new ones at the dealer (2024). Mine occasionally has this as well. Mildly annoying, but if you...

Taycan Carplay suddenly asks to connect USB.

Not sure if relevant, but I get this message once in a while. I just ignore it and never plug into usb. After a few seconds wireless carplay just resumes or I go to the phone in menu and tap on the play button next to my phone. All fine and no problem, just a small delay.

    Taycan X CyberTruck

If it was only one Cybertruck, that taycan would have leaned slightly towards it due to gravitational field distortion. Good thing Porsche already fixed that with Active Ride, that will keep it level when a second Cybertruck is not present.
