It was a recent thing that started happening. I didn't do anything to enable it -- although I do have a credit card on file with the Porsche app, which probably is a pre-requisite
I've only experienced this integration with Tesla and Electrify America. Both are plug and charge for me through the Porsche App. I don't have to interface with either of their apps or charger screens when charging.
I have a 2021 Taycan and have charged multiple times at Telsa without any issues. I don't need to use the Tesla app -- when I plug in the car, the Porsche app recognizes the Tesla station and begins charging. Aside from checking to make sure the location is open to non-Tesla, I can't think of...
I've been charging at my local Tesla supercharger recently, as I have construction at my house and my garage charger is not available.
It's simple:
1. Definitely need the Tesla app and make sure the station allows charging non-Tesla
2. Take the Tesla cable and plug it into your adapter
3. Plug...
I normally charge to 85%, but went to 100% for a recent trip to the airport ~2 hours away. Got my best range number yet on my 2021 Taycan RWD - 354 miles!
I’ve owned my Taycan for over 3 years and have made many long drives. While I find the range indicator pretty accurate, I don’t think you’ll be able to make this trip without charging. The max mileage I’ve seen was a little over 330 miles, but long trips tend to eat into that some. Also, when I...
I’ve owned my Taycan for 3 years and the only issue I’ve had is around the brakes. I’ve never experience not being able to stop and it’s always been an issue when slowing down and the transition from regen to brakes under 5 mph. I recently had the car serviced for this issue as I experienced...
Had my heater recall work done a few weeks ago. So far, so good!
Also had my mushy brakes and grinding noise when stopping addressed. The PSM update and bleeding the brakes worked and no issues so far. Brakes like a brand new car!
Similar issue that I just got fixed this week. WPK0 campaign for PSM was performed and they bled the brakes. HUGE great change in the braking after this. I had a loaner Macan with under 1,000 miles and after the fix on my car, the brakes felt just like the Macan's.
Just hit two years with my Taycan Base PB+ a few days ago. Still loving this car every day. Aside from a brake module issue that was fixed early on, no other issues. Range continues to be excellent - see recent picture where I fully charged in advance of a trip North. All of the software updates...
I got the dreaded software update defaulting my PMCC to 20amps two days ago. Since then, I’ve had a grounding fault error on the device three times. I have been able to reboot and start a charge (one time it faulted during the charging process).
I’ve had this PMCC installed for 15 months...
My PMCC got the software update yesterday and charging was set to 20 amps. I went into the screen to change back to 40 amp, but the screen was blank. I ended up rebooting the charger and that fixed the issue and I was able to set back to 40 amp charging. All is well in the world again?
